Jeremy Banks

Yeah the side show after a 2 yard run is not needed.
One day we'll overlook it because he will be really good. Maybe he does it to sike himself up and keep the energy up. He also sees that his team acts like they have less enthusiasm than a book club.

Fumbles?
Also, show some sense and don’t start a thread with only the players name in it.
Say “Banks’ Playing Time.”

Why isn't Banks playing much? Pruitt says he falls forward after the hits and not backwards! Runs hard like a John Kelly, but isn't used much? Another
questionable thing from this coaching staff.

Kid's worst than fumblin foster...

He's only a true freshman and has fumbling problems he'll only get better with ball security give the man a chance. He's one of the few players on this team that shows fight 100% of the time... Banks and Chandler need a majority of all carries

2 SEC games....14 carries, 46 yards, 3.3 yards per carry, and he’s fumbled in both games (go back further to our OOC games vs ETSU and UTEP, and he’s fumbled 4 games in a row)

So, to sum up, he’s not very good averaging 3 yards per carry, and he literally fumbles in every game he plays. I’m guessing that’s why.

The only questionable thing about this is that banks is even getting any playing time at all, we’ve got 3 good backs ahead of him yet we want to try and play 4 running backs. You cannot build continuity playing 4 backs. I realize they like banks but the kid can’t hold onto the ball and frankly ty chandler and Tim Jordan should be the bell cows of the running backs. Pruitt seems to me to be being stubborn in wanting to play 4 different running backs instead of picking the 2 or 3 top guys and rolling with it.

Chandler should be on the field as much as he possibly can. Even if he’s some kind of decoy on an end around. He can do it all. He needs 25-30 touches per game. He’s that explosive. Even if he doesn’t hit a big gain on a lot plays, chances are he’s going to bust a 40-50 yard gain at some point.

Talented kid, but he shouldnt touch the ball for a while. Neither should Jordan, he NEVER follows his blocks and goes where the play is designed. Cost us a safety last week.

Chandler, on the other hand had a 35 yard TD, and ran hard all day. He is an SEC back..and outran Ugays entire defense today. First time we have done that all year.
I think this is over played, at least a small amount.
Jeremy Banks average is 4.1 yards
Tim Jordan's average is 4.2 yards
For the UGA game, both had 6 carries.
Jordan - 21 yds.
Banks - 18 yds.

The UF safety - you can see in the film that Jordan tries to go behind his blocker and you see him put his arm up because his blocker is being forced backwards into him. That's when he bounced outside.
His blocking is my biggest issue with him.

Either way, Chandler is way above both.

The coaching staff is using banks late in games where the defense is loading the box to stop the run and banks is turning 1 yard runs into 3 or 4 yard runs breaking tackles and pushing the pile would love to see him get some touches early in the game where the defense also has to defend against the pass. Maybe then his YPC will go up. To be a true freshman with this Oline and still be able to manage positive yardage is amazing.

The Hands of Stone makes one a great boxer or perhaps linebacker. Needs to get some pine tar on the gloves if he's staying at RB.

Banks watched the uga running back pop a spin move in Bains face when Bain had him dead to rights for a 3 yard loss...ended up gaining about a dozen instead of losing 3...on 3rd down no less. Couple plays later Banks gets his touch and tries the same spin move but doesnt secure the ball. Fumbles, and instead of a 24 to 12 hard fought game...38 to 12 looks like a blowout.

Very freshmen mistake to try and copy the other teams player. Just play your own game, kid. Keep your head down, feet churning, and pound the rock.

Jordan will and should be the #2 back behind Chandler, IMO. He's a tough runner and fierce competitor. He blocked well in the backfield against UGA after making some mistakes against UF. He goes to the assigned hole to where the play is called and it's plugged. Instincts have him bouncing off laterally to keep his momentum moving. He never stops his leg churning. On the safety please notice that the entire offensive line,(on that side anyway), got pushed back into the endzone. What do you do then as a running back? He wouldn't have gained a damn inch if he would have hit the correct hole and many on here say he coulda pick up a yard and avoided the safety. He may have very well avoided the safety on that play but overall the OLine was getting blown off the ball. Chandler and Jordan are a good 1-2 punch....thunder and lightning. Banks loses the ball and trash talks every times he's tackled.

Hopefully not. He’s a kid with a lot of fight, runs hard. But he’s limited in his ability and fumbles, as Tim Irwin said this morning, “about every 3rd carry”. Need to go ahead and recruit over him, shouldn’t be too difficult.
At this point there's no big back on the recruiting radar. Kinda starting to think this may be an over-sight. Loaded with linemen on both sides and that's needed more than anything. Some like Banks and some like Jordan. I prefer Jordan myself.

Love the guy. But seems to have either fumbleritis or Fosterism. Needs remedy.
