The point is that the couple of fumbles he has had in his freshman year on the field in actual games are not the sole reason for him being moved to LB. If fumbles are the issue, then he is struggling with them in practice too. You don’t move a RB who has shown his potential in the middle of their freshman season after 42 touches unless you aren’t seeing progress in practice as well. And he hasn’t had a touch since Georgia.
