It'll be interesting to see what Kelly does. But my guess is that because the robbery wasn't on national tv, Masoli's punishment won't be anything compared to Blunt's

You're delusional if you don't think he will play against us.

On a more positive note, this should give him some practical experience in his chosen field.

The question I have is why did he have to attend Juco before Oregon? Was it for something criminal, grades, or what?

He attended Junior College before Oregon because he was convicted of strong-armed robbery his senior year in high school. He and one of his friends were approaching people in the mall parking lot and threatening to beat them down if they didn't give up their wallets. PITIFUL!

If that is right, the punishment for this should be even stiffer. I don't know how I feel about it. I'd hate to lose to them against their 2nd string QB, and if we win it takes away some of the luster.

Juvenile court records are closed, but media accounts and a source close to the school confirmed that Masoli was one of several Serra football players arrested in June 2005, and subsequently expelled, for targeting individuals at San Mateo’s Hillsdale Mall and isolated bus stops in the area, muscling them for money.

A respected student and a team captain, Masoli pleaded guilty to robbery, according to the San Francisco Examiner.
