Jennings looking strong this week

You know at first i thought of JJ as a tight end at the next level only because he's not a burner, but when i think of receivers like anquan bolden in philly who is definitely not a burner ive changed my mind... JJ is one of those pass catchers that knows how to get open and will fight tooth and nail when the ball comes his way. He will play receiver and will a darn good one.
I think his best comparison is Hines Ward

It looks like Van Jefferson from Florida is getting the most love after this week's senior bowl practices for WR's. Like you though I think Jennings shines on game day and it will be worth watching the game tomorrow just to watch him do his thing.

Not surprised by Van Jefferson. He abused arguably the best CB in the country this year in LSU’s Stingley. Not surprised by Jennings either, helluva player. TE strength with WR route-running and hands.

JJ was great at Tennessee, won us games. I am a big fan of his and hope he makes a big pile of money in the league. This class is heavy with excellent wrs. Separation is much more difficult for a wr in the NFL, dbs play very tight. Speed is valued in a wr. I claim to know nothing , I am not near the talent scout as someone like D4H. I do think JJ's aggressive play will make for a short NFL stint. Round 3, maybe 4.

I have described JJ as a mix of Hines Ward, Steve Smith, and Carl Pickens. That said, I really think he missed his calling of being put in the secondary. Think of the massive licks he would have laid coming in from Strong Safety. I think he would have probably led the NCAA in interceptions as well.

The strange thing is that ESPN's McShay, who is in Mobile, doesn't even give him a mention and Kiper's Top Ten at every position doesn't have him listed. Those guys are pretty wired in on what the pros are thinking. I think he's going to get drafted but 1st round doesn't seem in play unless McShay has been spending more time in the bars than the practice field. The game will say a lot but most of the talent evaluation by the pros down there is done on the practice field. If Jennings gets drafted any later than 2nd round someone will get a steal. (When I was stationed in Pensacola you could run over to Mobile and actually watch the workouts. Was incredibly cool. Plus there was an incredibly good hole-in-the-wall oyster bar in downtown Mobile for some oysters and beer afterwards.)

I’ve never seen a wr who is better after the catch.

Peter Warrick.

Also Ja'maar Chase of LSU has to be up there as well in regards to breaking tackles.

Regardless, Jennings don't play around out there!

And targeting calls. The guy definitely loves the contact

I'm hoping JJ goes in 1st round....big difference in money there
He’s the kind of player who banks with the second contract. Won’t wow at the Shorts Olympics.
