I think the "truth" in that joke could be a number of things besides Trump admitting to banging 13 year olds.

could be that he doesn't follow the "half your age + 7" rule.
could be that he goes after 18 year olds. or whatever the age of consent is, its been said that its 17 in New York.
could be the Decaprio rule of once they hit a certain age he drops them.

it wasn't like they were sitting there grilling him.

15? yeah
14? yeah
13? yeah
12? eh probably not.

it was much more off hand/joking like "Idk haven't really thought about it but I certainly won't mess around with a 12 year old". even as a teenager I never found stern funny, good story teller/interviewer, but never really for the laughs for me, so this joke falls flat for me. but again pretending like it could only mean one thing is being incredibly biased.

While I don't support Trump I disagree, with your lesser of two evils argument. Biden was a disaster for numerous reasons. Trump is not what this country needs but you can't argue Biden was better for this country with a straight face.

The lesser of two evils is exactly the kind of thinking rhetoric that got us here. As long as we don't demand better and buck the current status quo we will cease to be a "United States" within 10 to 20 years.

See, here's the problem. You are absolutely, positively convinced the answer is that obvious and clear cut. There are lots and LOTS of people (see last election) that take the exact opposite view based on the choices opposed to Trump. Actually of late it's almost the norm to have a significant chunk of the electorate going into the polls with an opposition vote as much as anything. It's a pretty messed up situation.

I think a lot of it is just reactionary now. responding to the latest crisis.

Trump beat Hilary because people were tired of the Dem's rule and the direction.
Trump lost to Biden because people didn't like the direction Trump took.
Trump beat Kamala for a whole bunch of reasons, including the direction the administration she worked for was taking the country.
now trump is in charge so that middle third is reacting back.

the constant seesaws to the extremes is going to cut this country in half.

also could be as dumb as Epstein taught Trump the word "enigma" and Trump became fascinated with it and made it Trump's term for Epstein. or they got high/drunk once and used/heard the word and laughed their butts off about it and it became an inside joke.could be an innocent reference to something about them being neighbors or running in some of the same circles.

again not defending Trump, but people need to stop acting like their is only one possible explanation for this.

Entirely possible. A guy like Epstein probably has some level of dirt on a lot of people. That said it seems like this admin is trying ridiculously hard to prevent stuff from coming out. Hoping like hell something else will take over the news cycle and this will pass.

I voted for Trump, still believe he was the only viable option. I think for the most part he’s followed through on a good many campaign promises. This isnt going away though and people are sick AF on both sides of the cover ups.

Donald Trump has put out a casting call for someone - perhaps anyone - to primary Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie - the Republican lawmaker working overtime to release the Epstein files.

'Thomas Massie, the worst Republican Congressman, and an almost guaranteed NO VOTE each and every time, is an embarrassment to Kentucky,' Trump wrote late Monday evening on Truth Social.

Trump has vowed to campaign against the congressman as a result of his maverick tendencies, but Elon Musk has similarly promised to support the Kentuckian's re-election in 2026.

In 2019, the congressman opposed Trump's use of an emergency declaration to build a border wall.

The president doubling-down on Massie's ouster comes at the same time the libertarian-minded rabble-rouser is leading Capitol Hill's efforts to declassify the Department of Justice's files on Epstein and his potential associates.

The only material in the files that would be withheld are portions relating to abuse or death, personal identifiable information of victims and content that would jeopardize active federal investigations or compromise national security.

If the bill secures passage, the DOJ would have 30 days to post the documents online for Americans to see.

“When the FBI raided Epstein’s New York mansion, they seized a vast amount of material. In a court memo filed on July 8, 2019, two days after his arrest, the Department of Justice outlined some of the evidence they had seized. This included stacks of compact disks labeled “Young [Name] + [Name].” In short, Epstein kept a carefully curated library of videos showing various people having sex with underage women. Even if Epstein was not actively blackmailing anyone, he sure seems he had plenty of insurance at the ready.”

Court filing is in the article. This portion is at the bottom of page 9

I agree it could be made....but I don't think there is a client list so to speak ..I think the flight logs and and tape as of now are circumstantial evidence and not enough for charges on anyone except those already dead or in jail....now with Ghislaine Maxwell testimony we will have more clarity...this is a big FUP but Trump..he'd have been better off saying there not enough there to convict but heres what we have with victims redacted...I hoping he still does that at some point in his term.

Yeah, when I hear "there is no list," I believe that it's quite possibly true, and Bondi misspoke, and Epstein didn't have a comprehensive list of Johns.

But what's really hard to swallow is that the government couldn't compile some semblance of a list with a proper investigation.
