Even the most ardent Trump-backer can apply Occam’s Razor to this situation and conclude that Trump is the one making the decision to withhold the info, and has since done nothing but act like a guilty party. Musk may have out-Trumped the master himself on this one.

This is going to be the eternal game. No matter what is released, it’ll always be underwhelming because the legend is greater than the reality. And everyone will proclaims “there’s more they’re not telling us!” without any actual evidence

The standard Trumpster ploy of being dismissive isn't working this time. Even many of his supporters are growing suspicious. And when Trump tries to thread a needle on it with these lame qualifiers it just makes it all the more suspicious.

So can we all agree the reason the Trump admin was suddenly withholding stuff was bc of this? I think that's a certainty at this point

If this was all it was he wouldn't be tying himself up into a pretzel like this.

There's more. And saying he's releasing only that which HE and HIS team deem relevant confirms it.

The last part is crap. He needs to bring in a special prosecutor

And yes, I'd say this is bad enough for him to try to bury it. I know you are convinced their is a tape of him banging 14 year olds but you have problems

He has said he won't appoint a special prosecutor....

I don't know what it is. A video, an interview with a victim that mentioned him as involved, an actual list ... but dont pretend that lack of a video is the standard by which this is judged.

This is judged by Trump CLEARLY amd REPEATEDLY ducking and avoiding release of the documents. The only legitimate question is why. And there's only one plausible answer.

I'm saying he needs to appoint one and that this won't go away until he does. I also believe this WSJ story is absolutely enough for him to bury this as much as he can. Is it possible there is more? Sure. I doubt it. But there is no evidence to believe so IMO. This story looks bad enough in terms of optics for him to run.

I'll defer to your expertise but the grand jury transcripts wouldnt include post indictment discovery, evidence gathered after the indictment, or any evidence in hand but not needed to get an indictment, correct?

In part it depends on who the special prosecutor is. A Trimp loyalist won't fool anyone and that is surely his m.o.

And shock of shocks even if he did i guarantee you it would not be released by Bondi until after the mid terms.

Speaking of which, she's gone kind of silent here the last couple of days. One wonders why.

Playing politics is playing politics. It's gross. But neither side has the high road. So you can biatch about it but the middle 10% won't care. It's the economy that matters

I think he will kick her to the curb and blame her. His previous praise be damned. Someone's got to be blamed. And we all know he's not blaming himself
