Big mistake by not holding Hillary accountable and playing the game in the name of “unity”.IMO Trump badly miscalculated on this “promise”. He thought he could play it off like the promise to put Hillary in jail. Turns out that American’s are way more revulsed at a pedo operation than Hillary’s bribery and gun-running schemes.
I was Jeffrey Epstein’s lawyer. I know the facts, some of which I can’t disclose because it is privileged or subject to court-imposed sealing orders...Epstein never created a “client list.” The FBI interviewed alleged victims who named several “clients.” These names have been redacted. They should be disclosed but the courts have ordered them sealed. I know who they are. They don’t include any current officeholders.
Neither the Justice Department nor private defense lawyers are free to disregard court sealing orders. The media can and should petition the courts for the release of all names and information so the public can draw its own conclusions.
Open records show an acquaintance between Epstein and Mr. Trump many years ago. That relationship ended when Mr. Trump reportedly banned Epstein from Mar-a-Lago, long before becoming president. I have seen nothing that would suggest anything improper or even questionable by Mr. Trump.
I have absolutely no doubt that Epstein never worked for any intelligence agency. If he had, he would surely have told me and his other lawyers, who would have used that information to get him a better deal. (He wasn’t satisfied with the so-called sweetheart deal he got, which required him to spend 1½ years in a local jail and register as a sex offender.)
It is clear from the evidence that Epstein committed suicide. What isn’t clear is whether he was assisted by jail personnel. That seems likely to me, based on the evidence of allegedly broken cameras, transfer of his cellmate and the absence of guards during relevant time periods.
Yea I don't believe any single bit of that.Alan Dershowitz has cleared this thing up with this article in the WSJ. He was Epstein's lawyer so he knows what the facts are here:
I did find this surprising:
Why would he hang himself over 1.5 yrs? How does he get off with that when his girlfriend got 20 yrs?
Dershowitz does think that Epstein was assisted in committing suicide:
This pretty well puts this story to bed.
Epstein was arrested. Maxwell is in prison. That's not a conspiracy and the conviction involved facts. What do you think the conspiracy is? Whether a physical list exists is irrelevant. The knowledge exists in some form. Maxwells brain for instance.Dershowitz does not have a history of lying. He's one of the more credible people in this story. If you wanna believe in conspiracy theories, be careful. At least have some facts to lead you down that road
What's even scarier than that is the trend we've seen over the last 20 or so years. At the time of their term, the prez has a favor-ability rating. And over the years after their term, their favorability improves as we compare them to the current president.
There is no evidence right now that says our presidents are getting better. So, it is conceivable one worse that djt is in our future.

If the list isn't physical and only in the mind of a dead guy then it's fair to say the list does not exist. I don't see a conspiracy here so I'm the wrong one to askEpstein was arrested. Well Maxwell is alive. And I'm sure files did exist. Also that's what I'm saying. It's not a conspiracy. Children were trafficked and we want to know who paid for it. I'm lost. You think because the dead elitist pedos lawyer says a list didn't exist then it's a closed book? That's...something.If the list isn't physical and only in the mind of a dead guy then it's fair to say the list does not exist. I don't see a conspiracy here so I'm the wrong one to ask
So a few thoughts brought up around my circle. Still not sure what part(s) make the most sense with what I currently understand.
It's plausible there isn't/never was actually anything available that directly implicates anyone other than Epstein. Personally pretty iffy on that one.
It's plausible the reason for the above is that there in fact WAS evidence that early on (we're talking right when the fit hit the shan) was scoured by people in a position to do so very "off the books". I actually can buy that. Not convinced by any means but I can see it being done that way.
In either case of the above the Trump campaign is rather taking it in the keister since such a big deal was made that such evidence was available and it was going to be Trump et al to set the truth free. Even if they 100% believed that was what was going to happen the sheer magnitude of the oversell is Al Capone's Vault x million. Bias will have opinions all over place but there's only so much luster, regardless of elbow grease applied, to polish that chunk of feces.
It's implausible that Trump personally has much, if any, exposure in the currently available evidence unless he was convinced that evidence is so toxic to so many it would simply never be released regardless of who had access. He was/is safe by default for the same reason all the others (lots of names been bandied about over the years) are safe, which is it would be mutually assured destruction for anyone to try and run with the truth. The only other possibility is that the person most hated by the Left, possibly ever, just had evidence sat on that would destroy him through the entire last administration and run up to the recent election. I believe the odds of that being true are akin to me being handed a billion dollar lottery ticket by a squad of naked Victoria Secret models riding winged unicorns.
Bro no one gives a ****. Democrats ran a literal cackling drunk hyena. She would've been a horrendous president as well. Everyone needs to do better. With every day that passes, it becomes more and more hilarious that so many Republicans thought we needed another term of a failed, loose cannon president to be the Republican nominee in a year where the Republican candidate had a gravy train path to victory.
Dershowitz said that those files are sealed and no one can release them. Until that changes it's a dead issueWell Maxwell is alive. And I'm sure files did exist. Also that's what I'm saying. I'm confused. You open with "You forget the obvious" and then go on to basically lay out what I said in my last paragraph. It's what I was referencing with "evidence is so toxic to so many it would simply never be released regardless of who had access.".You forget the obvious: both sides, and powerful benefactors of both sides, are mentioned in these documents, be it on an actual list or just in memo or interview form. Including Trump. And that is why administrations on both sides have been under pressure not to release it.
This seems to me to be the most likely scenario. It explains why the Biden administration didn't release everything. It explains why the Trump administration is not releasing everything. It explains why Trump has done an about face and is suddenly telling everyone to quit worrying about it.
It also explains why he is now suddenly claiming its all faked by Comey and others -- to set up his excuses.
It also explains why so many who claim to know that there is such material are outraged by the withholding of it, even if they support Trump. They know the refusal to release it, or to say we'd only release part of it, is to protect powerful people.
It is the explanation that deals with all of the twists and turns.
You state the bolded like it's a fact. I'm not convinced. If Trump was listed we know that page would have been leaked during the election. The fact that it wasn't tells me he's not implicated. I do think Prince Andrew and possibly others in the royal family are implicated but that's just speculationYou forget the obvious: both sides, and powerful benefactors of both sides, are mentioned in these documents, be it on an actual list or just in memo or interview form. Yep. This ain’t rocket science. If there’s nothing there, release it and end this farce once and for all. Looks to me like there are things there that powerful people don’t want out in the open. That includes Trump. The more he whines about it, the more guilty he looks. He calls it a hoax yet his own Cabinet Members were starting and perpetuating the very conspiracy theories he now criticizes. Trump is a spineless coward.

OK, read (and try to understand) this full opening sentence from that last paragraph.Ok, I did not understand that you were saying that the "toxic" nature of it is keeping Trump from releasing it.
I guess I am going one step further and saying that it seems plausible, if not likely, that the "toxic" nature of it is that it includes Trump.
This explains why he is now trying to say, well, we will release the "credible" information, which would allow he or Bondi to take out reference to him. It also explains Trump's new claim that whatever is in there was manufactured by Comey and others. He is tying it to Russiagate and trying to discredit anything mentioning him, even before it is public.
