Wouldn't it have been easier to grant him bail? And then off him while he was under house arrest and call it "suicide"? Epstein had offered to put up his $77 million Upper East side mansion as collateral. This way seems messier.

I'm assuming, of course, that the powers that be, have the necessary pull to force a district judge to grant bail.

Already being reported that this is very suspicious that someone on suicide watch would even be allowed to commit suicide. This was allowed to happen. Said should be cameras on Epstein 24/7.
