Jeff Pearlman: Vols' Dooley latest to forget...| Sports Illustrated

LOL...beat me to the punch. He will surprisingly reply quickly.

To JP: Did a UT fan give you a wedgie when you were a kid? Good lord man, lay off.

To me one min later: Actually, he did. Was it you? :)

To JP: No, and it was probably a "she" looking at your photo.

Pearlman is an immature brat whose daddy probably got him this forum. As for Hyam's comment, the media types will all stick together rub each other's back.

I almost started to get a little angry at hat's response, but reading a few of the emails sent to Pearlman in response to his article....ugh, I can't say much.

hat, while Pearlman may be the author of two best selling books and an otherwise excellent columnist, this case notwithstanding, that doesn't make him exempt from being dead wrong on occasions--this one specifically.

Pearlman's article is nothing more than an observation from the cheap seats--something that Jason Whitlock perfected when he wrote an article blasting Steve McNair's fathering skills a week or so after his murder.

While a columnist stating his or her opinion and sticking by it is commendable, its not always indicative of quality work.

As a fellow Hebrew, I wince with M bear ASS mint for Mr. Pearlman. I shall now spend this Sabbath praying at The Great Wall that his daughters do not become any further enslaved by prostitution.

Pearlman has written some excellent books and covered high profile pieces. He stands behind his work, and I promise you he will write back to each and every one of you that responds to him.

Do you believe he will say Yes or No to my offer for a reacharound? :moon2:

its one thing for a hc to treat the press with benign neglect, its another to say who are the good guys and bad guys, that's actively upsetting people......like it or not these guys write and report things that are read by recruits and their families....the press are a big part of this thing we call college football and a hc has to come to terms with them.....having said that, i think most in the press(sports or otherwise) are morons with the agenda of becoming celebrities....locally, i do think wes rucker does a good job with UT football and was surprised he was left out of Dooley's group

I AGREE!! This is guy sounds like a cry baby that didn't get his (not talented enough to be an athletic so he will be a sports reporter!!!) credentials into practice
