Jeff Lebby to interview for OC

I would rather hire Greenville's high school coach than a coach who has spent most of his career in NAIA and cant even be successful there

If this hire is a low tier its over but i’m still 95 percent sure it will be Kitchens(intuition). This has got to be good else fulmer/Pruitt are toast.
There is no other reason for these joke no name interviews but to lay smoke
For the wait until Kitchens last game 12/30. Got to think big.

But that doesn’t make sense either...Cleveland isn’t making the playoffs and early signing day is just 10 days away. Why not just announce kitchens now if that were the case?

does it honestly matter of a splash hire that we might get or does it matter more of the fit of the system that's more important in this search?
You bring up an interesting point, one I've pondered on myself. If we bring in a proven coach and yet the personalities don't mesh well; would they be successful? Probably not...

Vols haven't cracked the top 15 at the end of the season since 2007. UT suffered from mismanagement for sure, but surely that perception carried by this fan base is part of the disappointment. Not saying UT can't be a top 15 program, it most certainly can, but it hasn't been for a while, and that is part of the problem.

Historically a top 25 program:

Currently a top 5 AD budget with facitlites second to none.

So while many on here seem to relish the fact that we are where we are, some of us would like to see us return to where we have been historically. That's gonna be tough if we continue to hire the way we have been in the past decade.

While I don't disagree, most of the time when people refer to where we have been historically, what they really mean is where we were in the very narrow period during the mid to late 90's.

Useless Prediction Time........

K. Briles to OC.
Lebby comes in with him as QB coach.
Weinke to FSU.
Announced today at 4 PM EST.

Almost no chance this happens but hoping it's wrapped up soon.

He’s been cleared by 3 different universities as not being complicit in any of the stuff at Baylor. You can believe it or continue to post this stuff about him. Up to you.

That doesn't matter. They cleared him because white victims don't matter to these people. He's never denied the quote attributed to him so that's all I need to know.

That was just my opinion.

I take it you support football coaches selling "white women" to recruits to be gang raped?
Did I say that? You mentioned second chances.. By my count he has had two to date. Coming to Tennessee would not be a second chance, but a career move. I did not say my thoughts on the hire itself now did I?

Dude what are you talking about? His telling the recruits the real truth that some women would be all over them has nothing to do with anyone being raped.

You seem hung up on the white women and athletes thing. I guess you never went to college.

You are way off base.

If those are the parameters I would say a top 10 or top 5 team. However as a fan who suffered through and 0-6 start in '88 I realize how special the '90s were.

Let the whining begin. Genius fans had to Google him so therefore he's not qualified. Yurcich was at Shippensburg St. and somewhere else before Okie State. Freeze wasn't a household name until he was. My suggestion for all the whiners is to stop supporting UT football and find another program. Bunch of losers.

If they're a bunch of losers, then they should fit right in.
