I mean come on, really. We need leadership at UT, I don't care if they hire Donald Duck as long as he can recruit and put W's on the schedule. This program has been broken for so long, that I don't even miss watching games. By half-time I had already turned off most games this year. We have been out hustled by media and other schools to demonstrate to athletes that they can get visibility and airtime anywhere. The difference between now and 20 years ago is that UT was a prevalent timeslot game on a major channel. No longer the case. I feel like we're in quicksand with no direction or plan on getting out. This sucks.

There are currently (those coaching this season) 14 nfl head coaches with an equal or worse winning percentage for their career. For reference, John Gruden‘s career winning percentage is .511 compared to Fisher’s .510. Of course, Gruden won a Super Bowl as a coach. Fisher won a Super Bowl as a player.

Gruden is 114-110 as a head coach....Fisher is 173-165 as a head coach. Not seeing the big difference here...

For some reason, I just don't see Septuagenarian Jeff Fisher, five years out of football, thirteen years since a winning record, and zero college-level coaching experience at any level from GA to Head Coach as bringing the dynamic energy and leadership that's needed to turn around a program.

We honestly could do a lot worse than Jeff Fisher. At least Fisher would just play the CEO type role. If he hired good coordinators this could actually work out really well. I have no doubt with his NFL background alone he could pull in talent. Everyone wants to make it to the NFL and Fisher has tons of ties to the NFL. He isn’t a bad fallback plan by any means.
