Jeff Fisher Has Been Contacted By Tennessee

Coach Fisher is a great guy. I met him while I was in Iraq. He along with other coaches came in a tour. I sat and had breakfast with Coach Fisher and Coach Cower. Coach Fisher will have access to some great NFL players that could come in and talk to our young men. We need a stable mature Coach that has HC experience. I would bet that handling the NFL divas is much harder than hungry college players.

I’m a Titans fan since their inception and I loved the good year with Fisher but he got ran out of the league he didn’t evolve. I honestly think it would be Fulmer 2.0. Same thing, great in their prime but refused to evolve.

Well, besides the 20 plus years of experience running and coaching a competitive NFL team that was relatively successful - by NFL standards, anything over 500 is successful, over 600 is elite, he will bring a no nonsense approach and stability to the program. I think he would attract the kind of players that are honest and hard working. I think he can identify talent and not get caught up in stars or rankings, and above all else he appears to want the job, violations and all. This tells me he misses coaching, but doesn’t want to deal with the NFL, or adult players. I kinda get a Pete Carrol “want to get back to teaching football again” vibe. He is also not known to be a meddler with his position coaches or coordinators, and I think he is likable and would put together a good staff.
Just my opinion, based on my time in Nashville.
Well, I wouldn’t consider 6 winning seasons in 22 a successful run, especially when your last 7 years were losing seasons. The guy is 178-171-1 all time. He is mediocre

Has ZERO college coaching experience. Was an average NFL coach. I realize he took a team to a super bowl. But he had more losing seasons than winning ones. (Not that that translates to college in the slightest). We could do worse, but it would be hard to imagine how low on the list we would have t be to have Fisher actually get the job.
I am not a fan at all of hiring Fisher. But I would sure as hell take him over Sonny Dykes.

Having said this, Fisher is not getting this job lol. Again, NOBODY knows what is happening with this coaching search but Danny White and maybe Donde and Boyd.

Sure. I consider the NFL a little different because the owners and GM’s have such a huge part in a team’s success or failure. He had some good teams and was always in contention for division titles and play off runs. He wouldn’t be my first choice, but he certainly is a better option than some of the names I’ve heard.

Mr Double R, Triple P(Run, Run, Pass, Punt, Prevent )
How long did it take for McNair to start? Bud Adams had to pretty much make him play VY(yeah head case but he had that want to win tude) there at the end, probably saved Fisher job

VY WAS TERRIBLE!!!

Lol, he had like 6 winning seasons EVER...

He was put in a terrible situation with the Rams due to Bud Adams being an idiot. You know. The same Bud Adams that picked Thugman Jones when he could have drafted Aaron Rodgers to let Rodgers be an understudy of McNair for one year instead of taking VY a year later THAT SUCKED!!! All the personnel decisions were Bud Adams, NOT FISHER!!! Fisher would be a great hire!!!!! I don't give a **** that the dude is 62 and hasn't recruited! He could recruit well with all his contacts in the NFL, especially with all his positional coaches being ELITE RECRUITERS! It wouldn't take 7 million to get him, leaving lots of money for big salaries to be paid to an ENTIRELY ELITE COACHING STAFF!!! Chaney would do well with Fisher letting JC coach the QBs and run the offense totally!!!!

What did Bud Adams have to do with the Rams?

You ever try winning 178 games in the NFL?...Not the easiest thing to do...And he did it...He had to deal with terrible owners and some cocky players who didn't want to listen but if anything they all respected him as a coach and man....He would be good for the team and I think he would do a good job here...I mean i'll take him over some of the coaches they are listing up for the job right now.
