Jeff Brohm a serious candidate

I would still call Kiffin first. I know he screwed us over and I hated him, but I think he wants to come back and make up for it. Plus at this point I think he is the only one left that would have us winning again soon. He also has the personality to succeed here and I think recruits would love him.

He would work out well here and has the integrity thing covered. Says my source. Which is me. I'm from Louisville :)

Another Bret Bielema. If I were Tee or Kiffin or Steele, I’d tell Tennessee to bite me when they eventually get down to them.

I've liked Brohm from the get go. I posted here when Purdue hired him that he was up and coming and he didn't disappoint in his first year at Purdue. He would be a good get, but considering we couldn't lure Gundy w $7m (obv not offering him that kind of dough), I wonder if we could lure the first year coach. His stock will only continue to go up

What happens when Tee fails after his 2nd year? If it comes to that, are you content to let this program collapse for another 3 years because we can't fire our golden boy?

You are comparing a proven HC at a very challenging school to a first time OC at an elite school with everything going for it.

Tee is a disaster waiting to happen.

Lets take the risk on a coach the Purdue coach over one of our own! Stuff like this is why we're in this situation.

I don't give a crap if he's "one of our own"; if his name wasn't Tee Martin nobody would give a damn about him and would scream about how we were going after a coach that needs on the job training.

Him being "one of our own" doesn't magically make him even a decent candidate. Dude isn't ready for this. He's was pegged to be Georgia Southern's coach for God's sake.

We've all seen alumni return home to coach their alma maters and fail. It's an ugly situation. I'd prefer Tee get some HC experience a la Scott Frost - even in a podunk conference

Bingo!

Geezus, hire Fulmer back before Tee Martin.

Nothing Brohm has done makes him a decent candidate. Thats my point. If you can land a good coach go for it over Tee of course, but Brohm is a risk and if we're taking risks we may as well take one with one of our own. Thats my point. And it should be common sense.

Brohm is not a proven HC at a Power 5 school, period. If Tee fails in year 2, you do the same thing if Brohm fails in year 2.

All these guys are risks. What happens if Brohm turns out like Bielema, a much more qualified coach who had no SEC ties either?

Not one of these guys is ready, so it’s going to be a gamble.

Lol, whatever dude. Common sense would tell you bringing in a guy that was going to be Georgia Southern's coach isn't a good idea at all.

And doing it with a popular ex player makes even less sense because the chance of tarnishing himself is extremely high. If we hate Brohm, who gives a crap, he has no connection here. If we hate Tee, then that's a terrible situation.

You're out of your mind if you think it will be as easy to kick Tee Martin to the curb as it would Brohm.
