Too bad football didn't work out, but props to him for the decision to go get his degree and get on with his life.
I agree he's making a smart decision in going back to school to get his degree. What would have been an even better decision was if he had actually used his 4 scholarship years at UT to have earned his degree already. Since he was listed as a senior on last year's roster, I foolishly assumed that he had already earned his degree by now.
You know as well as I do that for a variety of reasons, it's not at all uncommon for the average student to take more than 4 years to get a degree, much less a guy who sacrifices as much time in the weight room and on the practice field as is required to play Division 1 football.I agree he's making a smart decision in going back to school to get his degree.
