If you remember Hambone did this last time, 6 years ago, had all the Media chasing ghost from a phoney list, then schocked them with Pearl's hiring announcement.

I don't know why a list got leaked, but it could be for this very reason. We just found out that Wright is not interested. What we avoided was having to ask the University for permission, then having Jay wright come out in the national media and state that he has no interest in the UT job. Kind of a silly game, but it may just be a way to assess interest. Sorta like asking a girl if her friend is interested in you before you ask her out and risk rejection.

Moronic in my opinion. You have paid consultants $50,000 so that they can discretely inquire with Jimmy Sexton and other agents -- why would you want Griffin to tip off to other schools and ad's to get their check books out and extend their contracts and eliminate some good candidates from contention.

I would cut the bal_s off of whoever leaked the list and would ban the moron Griff from any reporting on anything other than Womens crew for 10 yrs.

Best answer anyone has given yet.....have a friend who's huge into Arkansas but he cruises Texas, Texas A&M along with others talking senseless trash....When ask Why? he just didnt have a decent answer...in his case...EXTREME INSECURITY AND FEELINGS OF HIS TEAM BEING DISRESPECTED...He's constantly reminding me that the SEC is blessed beyond measure to have the Hogs in it....While I agree that Arkansas has contributed to the SEC he seems to think "others" don't believe....Just seems childish to me...Oh well, hope you enjoy the sites and sounds of big time college athletics here....
