I don't think Hart would strictly say "I'll hire you, but you have to keep this guy and that guy". However, if Gruden comes in and sees that he couldn't really get a better RB coach than Jay Graham... and not mentioning he's a good recruiter and a die-hard Vol I can't see that he'd fire him.

Gruden would surely know that he must have guys that are not only good coaches but also proven recruiters. Can't really upgrade at RB Coach for that.

Pittman is certainly a good coach but I wouldn't say he's irreplaceable. He just looks much better compared to Heistand. Bear in mind he has some solid SEC-Caliber talent and is merely getting results with high talent guys. Especially James and Richardson. Not taking away from Pittman, again, he's a good coach.

I wouldn't keep Hinshaw at WR Coach if I was coming in soley because I'd make a beeline for Tee Martin.

It's funny all this high praise for these assistant coaches, the improvement in the running game, "I like Sal".

Who hired these guys by the way?

If CDD gets fired then it's doubtful that Pittman and Graham will be allowed to stay on.

New HC normally brings in his assistants and that's just the way it is.

Everyone is hating on CDD but now they want 2 of his coaches kept at Tennessee, LOL.

CDD stated after last season that he would get our running game fixed so he brought in Pittman and Graham and our running game is lots better than most expected in just 1 offseason with the same players BUT everyone says there's no improvements at all, LOL.

Last year all the so-called experts on here said all our RB's and O linemen sucked but now those same O linemen and RB's are doing a great job but all our coaches suck, LOL.

Could this be more proof that there's really not any football experts here on VN?

Madden never relates to real college football and how it really works, LOL.

VFL...GBO!!!

TV keep fighting the good fight, but you might want to start coming to grips that a change is more than likely on the way..

Hinshaw could be fired alone for his lack of coaching the WR's. If Baggett was here, I'd be willing to bet Hunter wouldn't be struggling and CP would be running better routes.

here's what you need to accept...Gruden is not going to be the next coach ..nor is Bellotti...both have plush, high paying gigs and don,t want the headaches of a over-patient fan base...next Charlie Strong ..has Louisville playing decent ball..not going to come to Tn..and listen to fans calling for his head after 2 years...Peterson..not leaving Boise...Mullen not leaving Miss. State...Petrino...UT would never hire him..would lose more by doing so...now we get to Butch Davis......or maybe Cutcliffe....don't think either want to risk two years and this fan base ready to back the moving truck up to their door.....if you want to help recruit...stay off these boards.....
