Jauan Jennings met with Phillip Fulmer today (Trey Wallace)

No it's actually not. Do you think Saban fields a team of academic wunderkinds like we had in Dobbs? Come on man. You think Saban would be having the same kind of success reruiting guys that have high GPAs?

Take Dobbs out of the equation. What are you left with? I'm pretty safe in betting the average IQ's of Power 5 schools are fairly close with the exception of Stanford, Vandy, N'Western, and maybe a couple of others.

Saban puts up with his guys acting like thugs and idiots. Its just one of the reasons why he wins and we dont.

We've had 4 former players convicted of murder or man slaughter in the past 18 years. Plus two former players currently on trial for rape and a recently fired coach accused of attempting to cover up said rape. Also a mult million dollar settlement and the award for worst behaved SEC football program is named after our athletic director. There's no doubt that some bad behavior gets covered up in Tuscaloosa due to the fact that they are winning, but for God sakes watch where you throw stones.

I’m gonna tweet your post to Calvin Ridley. I’m sure he’ll laugh it off. Dude was like 25 when he enrolled at Alabama.

One of their LBs (IIRC) got a DUI this year. Last year, Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones got arrested for being in possession of stolen (or unregistered, can’t remember which one) firearms and an ounce of marijuana and Saban didn’t do a thing considering the magnitude of the crime.

If you’re gonna try and defend Bama like a twat would, at least do 3 mins of google searching first.

When has Butch been accused of “covering up said rape”? If you’re talking about the Drae Bowles allegation, that doesn’t meet the standard. Butch’s awareness of the incident was way too behind the events for him to even consider a cover-up.

Whether it meets your standard or not, Butch was absolutely accused of doing it. It was a terrible look for the program. But since you have to be you and argue about it, we can replace Butch being accused of covering up sexual assault with Mack Crowder soliciting what he thought was a minor online. Better?

I just want to point out that this has become yet another thread where Vols fans are fighting with other Vols fans.

We're all on the same side, but let's make another damn thread where we fight about petty garbage that no one cares about. Our insults are very clever and hilarious, so pat us on the back about how good we are at belittling our fellow Vol brethren.

Damn post season.

I'm not on the side of fans who are predicting 8-9 wins next year and revving up to blame the coach when that does not happen.

Better? Are you suggesting Butch did Crowder’s research or something? Is that too much ME BEING ME to wonder WTF that has to do with my original question? HOW did Butch ATTEMPT to “cover up” the alleged rape? Drae Bowles changed his original account and stated that Butch called him a traitor. That was well after the two players were being processed by the police. Where’s the “cover-up”?

They need to move on from Jauan. New coach needs to set the right tone and culture, just move on from him and get off on the right foot. Jennings brought all this on himself. No reason to take the risk.

Agree completely. Just move on start fresh. Jauan is who is.. Turn the page and start developing ur other wr. He is a Senior anyway why waist time when u can develop Palmer to be that Jennings type of guy for the future but right now Go with Callaway and Johnson and your Alpha wr and u still have Latrell, Murphy, and Jones on the roster plus a few freshman's.

No one is defending Bama. I simply made the statement if you take the outliers, like Dobbs, out of the equation that most P5 schools' players (with a few notable exceptions) would look fairly similar.

But I did take your advice Googled SEC football APR's...and what do you know:

Vanderbilt: 992
Alabama: 980
Auburn: 980
Florida: 980
Miss State: 974
Mizzou: 974
Tennessee: 972
Ole Miss: 971
South Carolina: 970
Arkansas: 966
Texas A&M: 962
Georgia: 961
LSU: 959
Kentucky: 958
