Now he's up to 12 reps of 225 thanks to Rock.
If this is true, then it explains why last year was such a mess. Butch Jones totally messed up by not getting a quality strength and conditioning coach. No wonder we were getting blown off the line by App State. And no wonder we had so many injuries. With an actual strength and conditioning program this year, I feel even more comfortable in predicting an SEC Championship for us.

FTR I'm assuming the 215 in the article is a typo and he meant 225 which is the standard weight NFL players bench at the combine.

I focused on bringing my energy to the table each and every day, Jennings told SEC Country this week. Not just for myself, but for my teammates and my coaches.
Jennings a 6-foot-3, 209-pounder who figures to be the Vols top target, said the entire team took the offseason to another level.
Its like a whole different vibe. We have new coaches, and then Coach Rock [Gullickson], Jennings said, referring to Tennessees new strength and conditioning coach.
Rock has come in and brought a whole new life to people, theres always positive attitudes in there, and those attitudes can take players to new levels, Jennings said. Hes turned me into a different player. Im very grateful to Coach [Butch] Jones for bringing Coach Rock in here.
Jennings said he has gone from only being able to do one repetition of 215 pounds on the bench press to a more respectable 12 repetitions, along with increasing his squat lift.
The Tennessee football players voluntary 7-on-7 drills this summer were another bright spot of the offseason, according to Jennings.
