Now that's what you call a "real source" and no I'm not kidding. A damn source you can reach out and touch, (not some obscure "he said / she said BS), even has a printed date for all to see, except the blind and those who who choose to be blind.

Eh, I know it’s not that simple but it still is kind of funny... I also remember people saying those same kinds of things when people brought up the Dooley beating butch thing... people called anyone who made that comparison idiots.. guess who the real idiots where?

Dont understand the appeal of Lindsey his scheme vs Tennessee was very average.

Not sure what you mean but he had 4 new OL, 3 turnovers, and 450 yards of offense.

Not saying you’re in this group, but anyone who lets the UT-Auburn game distract them from seeing Lindsey’s success since 2015 isn’t exercising good judgment.

“Auburn’s OC Chip Lindsey is set to receive a $100k retention bonus today if he’s still on the Auburn staff. Many people believe he’s Pruitt’s top choice for the Tennessee OC job.” - Jason Swain.

There ya go.

Who knew retentiveness would result in such riches!

I'm just stating I didn't see anything extravagant vs Tennessee.

AndyMizunogolfer,My gut feeling has been Lindsey, Enos, or Drinkwitz. I think if it were Freeze or promoting Friend that it would have already been announced.

Could Freeze be waiting to see if any head coaching jobs might open up?

I dont know enough about Lindsey.....I would prefer Freeze or Enos. If Lindsey needs a mobile QB, we ain't got none on the roster, or committed.

Lindsey doesn't, that's more Freeze. He runs read-option like Butch.

Enos is not very good at all. Has anyone looked at his stats? He's had 8 years to coach and led ONE offense to over 30 ppg!

Lindsay has only led one offense to LESS than 30 and that was 28.5.

You all should look at the history of Lindsey and Enos, Lindsey has done much better at previous stops. Freeze has done the best of the 3.

Yeah when we played them Pruitt know everything he was running.

Thank you! People here are have insane tunnel vision. Look at the big picture...and 450 yards!!

So you want "extravagant"? or do you want 450 yards?? Lmao use your dang head man.

And if anyone has done an ounce of research you know Gus has been micromanaging him all year. He originally said halfway through last year he was giving up the reigns fully to Lindsey and he went and beat UGA and Bama. This year he went right back to micromanaging per all Aub sources. That's why they want him gone, no one is calling for Lindsey.

This may sound like crazy talk but I am not convinced i wouldn't rather have Drinkwitz than Lindsay. Drinkwitz seems to have a better track record of running better offenses. There is some skew due to level of competition, but he's never had the most talented team in his conference while producing a good offense. I still like Freeze better than both. We may only have him a year or two... but if anyone we hire does well, we'll be fighting that battle just the same. Would rather take a sure-fire improvement at OC and be looking again in two years than to continue being mediocre at best and have one for 20 years. Not sure how many people remember this, but in the height of the Fulmer era, he had a year when the NFL made a very serious attempt to hire him away to the NFL. When you have success, other people will want to have a part of that success. So if we lose Hugh Freeze in two years, what do we do? Go find a guy who didn't pan out as a head coach but was a phenomenal OC beforehand, then hire him. Or maybe Hugh Freeze teaches someone under him how to do the job, and we have a quality promotion from within.

Ok, thank you for the clarification....and Butch said he didn't run a read option...it had elements of a read option. He just educated me and asked me to pass that information on to you.

What a sad time to be a Tennessee fan. And when I say sad time, I mean that last 15 years of my life. We continue to be the joke of CFB. I have no faith that anything good will come from this coaching search.
