broke his collarbone on that catch last night. SIAP.

We've had a wide receiver corp busted up badly this year. Here's to the RBs, Freshman QB, and backup WRs for picking up the slack last night.

Hope our wideouts heal quickly and return 100% next season.

Mama Croom, send our Big Orange best to Jason. GO VOLS!

I'm claiming it in advance. He will be ok by winter workouts and will be next year's Kelvin Benjamin.

Croom will be a beast of a receiver over the next 3 years.
With all the talent we have coming in, I'd love to see him and (incoming freshman) Creamer used as Hybrid TE/WR's, like you see a lot of now in the NFL. Good examples are Jimmy Graham, Gronkowski, Julius Thomas, J. Finley, Jared Cook, etc.

Especially considering how deficient/depleted we are at TE right now. We have some talented freshmen coming in, at that position, but until they can get acclimated to the college level, Croom would fill that role nicely.

Could give teams a 2 TE look (making defenses think RUN), and shift Croom out in the flat (on a LB) just prior to the snap.

Watching the play I was concerned that it might have been an AC separation. Clavicle fracture certainly is the lesser of the 2 evils. He'll be back strong and spunky. Best wishes for quick healing.:good!:

Great point. He would make a great receiving tight end and could become quite a weapon.

Hang in there bud. You'll be back in pads before you know it. Be smart and heal smart.

Downs is not a starting TE in the SEC. He needs to hit the weights, can't tell you how many times he got blown up trying to block (lost count), he is a below average receiver, and right now just doesn't deserve to see the field. We need help at this position bad.

Croom was under-utilized this year. Disappointed for him that he was hurt during his best game. Pumped about our receiving corps going forward though. Should be a versatile group with all the talent coming in.

Plus, I'm not sure he could block worse than the TE's did this year. Really surprised it took us 12 games before we threw a lineman out there at TE.

Definitely agree that our blocking at TE was atrocious this year. Downs has been hurt since he got on campus though, hoping he will get better if he can get fully health. Also, he was asked to do ridiculous things like block Clowney 1 on 1, no TE is going to look good doing that.

We really missed having a Mychal Rivera, Luke Stocker or Jason Witten. Croom has solid potential.

Yeah, I like the Croomster. Get well soon. And... GOOD LORD... he's giving North a run for his money for outstanding catch. That was fun to watch even though I was ticked that the pass was weak sauce.
