I just hope J Franklin doesnt find out about this because if he does he will take both of these commits.

This early on, I get nervous about commitments because they don't have complete offer lists, or (a lot of the time) even stars to tell you how good they are.

Nor have they made all their visits. If he is truly committed then if he's still taking visits at other schools you have to ask why? I would rather stay uncommitted, take all my visits and then make a decision.

I know I am old school but to me a commitment means that. No more visits anywhere. Not so with today's generation. Today's commitment means, Yeah maybe !!!!

Glad to have him, but it's a long way to February, 2013. I see the words "locking up" being used alot. That is certainly premature and unrealistic. Don't mean to be a downer, just trying to keep it real.

How many recruits have decommitted that were not asked to look elsewhere by the staff?

Dooley and Company do not take committments unless they are sure the kid is solid

Count, it's probably not that many. But the fact remains that it's always a possibility. That's why I would be careful with the words "locking up". It's all good otherwise.

There is always a possibility, but Dooley has done better at keeping instate talent than Fulmer did.

I can really only think of that 1 juco lineman this year, jacobs(?). I think all of the other decommits where initiated by UT.

Yes, and there is talk of Santos, but I don't care to speculate on that. Just wait and see.

I guess my problem is with the word "lock". There were other JUCO's that were supposedly locks that committed somewhere else. Anyway, it's neither here nor there.

Check back with me in a year. I'll be willing to bet more early commitments of over 1 year end up switching than staying.

Damn, Buzz Killington, it's definitely not bad news.

Anyone else besides me think that Stokes may have opened some minds in Memphis concerning UT? That kid gushes Orange and may be a BB AA before he leaves here. He may be the antidote to Brian Kimbro and his handler.

He's talking out of his b.utthole. He'll never bet. Not money, at least. He knows he's full of it.

Did I read correctly that this kid is that HUGE and he's only in his Jr year of HS?

If that's the case then we should be excited because he could become a DT for us that can really move and destroy the pocket of other teams from the middle.

A dominating DT along with our DE's could be huge for us in the future as our DB's get better and better.

Now we just need to hang on to him and make sure he visits us after the new FB training center is open next Summer.

It's great to know that CDD & staff are making connections and friends in High Schools all over Tennessee and other states and are getting to know these kids alot earlier on to keep building their friendships and interest.

VFL...GBO!!!
