Jason Allen Update

Done for the year, thus wrecking my now 5-2 team in the keeper league I'm in with guys I went to law school with. At least Steven Jackson is coming back to help Tom Brady on my squad. If Chatman was any good, he wouldn't have been out of the league last year.

with Brady, you shouldn't need much more help. my RB corp is wrecked this year and i am looking for anybody to provide a spark. thank god for Plaxico, Moss and Anderson. i guess i shouldn't look for too much from Chatman.

With an 0-7 record it sounds to me like JA is only a fraction of the many problems they are apparently having.

It'll be Brady, Jackson, Ocho Cinco, and Vernon Davis carrying the load from here on out. Kevin Jones has been encouraging, but I'm not going to hang my hat on him.

I had no idea JA was doing that bad...I really hope things work out for him, give him time and he will blossum

Jason seems like a great guy. Gives it his all. If he can't make it in the league I don't think it is for a lack of trying or intelligence. If you don't have it then you just don't have it. No shame in that.

I completely misinterpreted you, hatvol. I took my first impression and ran with it. My bad.

I think Chambers qualifies as decent.

and now he is gone. The Dolphins may be a decade away from being competitive. Honestly if Vick ever gets to play again, there is a good chance it'll be with the dolphins. They are probably the only team that would be desperate enough to take him.

A caller on Le Batard's show just put forth the proposition that Jason is the worst 1st round pick in the history of the National Football League. The issue is now being debated.

I think the worse picks have to be by Floyd Reese when he was the Titans GM between about 2000 - 2005. Take your pick, but my worst one was Woolfolk.

How so? Slade got production out of a guy who apparently can't tie his shoes in the NFL. How is that an indictment of his coaching?

It's not an indictment of his coaching at all, yes Jason Allen did great things for Tenn., and yes he was a great ambassador for the school. Yet people do forget he did have to come into his own while he was here (i.e. junior year) maybe the Miami D. are hoping he will do the same down there

Looks like Jason is gonna get his chance to start at safety now. The Dolphins starter Renaldo Hill is out with an injury.

NFL scouts always talk about how essential hip flexability is for an NFL corner. I can't imagine knocking one's hip out of it's very socket would be a good thing in that respect.

With a major hip injury, recovery from that is fairly common. But recovery means the ability to walk, job, and do normal daily functions. There will ALWAYS be stiffness there and never get full range of motion. Ask Bo Jackson.
