Jarvis Giles

How is that sad? The guy goes on and on saying he will stay committed if Drayton stays. Not sure what you call that where you are from, but to me that is not holding your word, which makes him a liar.

The thug was a stretch, but if you read his comments he has been making the past few months, it can fit the bill. If it walks like a duck....

The kid obviously made the best decision for himself. He wanted to play early. USC provided the best opportunity for that.

We have Creer, Poole, and Hardesty. Giles insulted Oku. Giles didn't think he could earn a starting position, thus try to win favor of a coach by helping him keep his job (e.g. demanding that if he is retained, I will come).

Good luck Giles.

Tip for the UT game: If you get by Monte's front 7 and see the number 14, the daytime stars you see next are not real. The only way to avoid them is to fumble the ball immediately after seeing the 14, as that's all that will free from the pain that otherwise follows. However, some SEC backs report seeing only a flash of orange but no number. Just be careful. It's dangerous out there.:)

If he wanted playing time then yea he probably did...what I am saying is he fell in love with this whole process and his 15 minutes of fame. His condescending comments about Oku, his gibberish on MySpace and Facebook shows me that he is a real immature kid, and probably is not ready for the rigors of SEC football and college in general. He comes across as a ME first individual, and that is the last thing this team needs. How soon we all forget the crap Kelley Washington stirred up here in KTown...

Finally, this is over, time to move on. Giles chose SC for earlier playing time because he had more competition at UT. Can't blame him. The only thing that bothers me is when Oku committed Giles made the statement that competition didn't bother him and they were both fast cats, but he thought he was more explosive than Oku or something like that. I guess he was afraid of competition after all. Oku apparently wasn't. That's our boy.

Careful...you might land on 625's loser list

Meh. The kid made a decision that will impact his
life for the next four years. And he didn't pick UT. Damn. That sucks. But I'm not gonna trash the kid. I'll let the internet tough guys like you do that.

WHO CARES!

Thigpen, Oku, and Soft Verbal Tony Williams are all ranked ahead of Giles. I don't think that *'s mean Di$&, but for those that do....THERE! Giles prolly will not qualify academicly anyway.......Have fun CSS!

Wow! we are all on the same side guys. It is a high school kid. UT will not suffer much based on one guy. Now lets move on, try to be nice to fellow Vol fans, and concentrate on our next commit. This was just a small sacrafice to get a new coach. Cutting the fat, less is more...........

Ok...so he chose South Carolina. Let's move on.

However, do not be fooled. He was a recruit that UT wanted. I mean after all they did send the house to meet with him: Drayton, Reaves, Hamilton and Kiffin. And he was Kiffin's first recruiting call for UT - Kiffin thought of him as a Reggie Bush clone. He would have been a big part of this offense even with those in front of him.

He was an important recruit - but you can't win them all.

On to the next one...

Is that directed toward one person (CPF) in particular?
