I don't think he comes here. I would take him if he chose us, but his attitude worries me. We already have Hardesty, Creer, Poole, Oku, and Williams. If he goes somewhere else good luck to him, but I'm not gonna cry over it. If he does decide to come here I won't be upset either.

Saying those things, I do think it will be Nebraska or USCjr.

The AD you're talking about was born and raised in North Platte, Nebraska, cut his teeth at NU. Please, try running something up the pole with at least some semblence of truth to it.

Well this dude on the USB boards goes by the name "Herbie" and has been talking smack for the past 2 weeks about getting Giles.

I referred to him as "herbert" because that is one of the names that is used to mock him.

You guys can have Giles for all I care, as long as you get off our site. But no, you would have to hang around for another month bragging about it so nevermind.

1. I've learned that what these recruits say and do really mean nothing until Signing Day. The thing that I would prefer them do is not to build up and city and it's people into something that will make you look like an idiot if you don't honor your original pledge.

2. That's a very telling tale of our current position.

This is a guy who's extremely gifted, and has an opportunity to take his act to the next level....it's a big decision, and one that's probably tough to make without wavering from week to week or day to day. It means that I am going to sit and watch this class take shape and not worry a whole lot about this year.

I am also not worked up over this kid, I just like to know that when people say great things about our city, people, and team that they mean it and it's not just spoken words because the coach that recruited him the year before all of a sudden is at UT now and that's the ONLY reason he is looking at us. That's what we don't need on this team, and I don't care how talented the player may be.

I don't fault Giles at all for looking at the situations and choosing which of them suit him best. And he has the right to change his mind IMO.

Look at it this way, he's not even the most talented back in his class if he were to come to UT, then he has to compete for playing time with 3 already-established backs.

The situation at USC looks much better from the perspective of being featured early.

okus best year he had close to 4,000 yds rushing where giles had 1,400 his best year a giles is very injury prone missed alot high sch games for small petty injuries. im glad we got oku for sure.

Anyone have any idea what in the world Giles is thinking? He was all Vol and then Fulmer gets fired. He basically says that didn't really concern him, Stan Drayton was the main reason he chose UT. He says he would likely follow Drayton. Not only do we still have Drayton, and I personally think we keep him, we now have Reaves the guy recruiting him at South Carolina. I am not sure why he wouldn't wanna come here. I can't figure this guy out. Doesn't really matter to me. Oku is the one I wanted. I have watched videos of both, and Giles may be faster, but I think Oku is the much better back without question.

We will find out soon. I think he announces on Tuesday. Drayton and Kiffin have an in home visit with Giles in Tampa tomorrow.

Agree completely. If Giles comes, then great! I'd love to have him. But, if not, then no big deal. We have a solid RB in Oku coming, and I'm willing to bet Kiffin brings in a better RB than both of them the following year anyways.

Giles is an Awesome big play threat.. he'll be the quickest offensive RB weapon we'd have since coker..
and He could be a beast on special teams..

I def! want him..
i see him making a bigger impact his freshman year than Oku just because of his SPecial teams potential.. Oku and Giles wont get many touches next year regardless.. Creer and Hardesty are just as talented as they are with SEC size because they've been in the weight room a few more years..
