Jarvis Giles

Giles may very well be scared of Oku and used the coaching change as a way to roll out and save face. If we keep Drayton and he still goes to another school, you'll know that was the real reason.

wow, sometimes I forget how much I don't like Spurrier. I kinda hope he stays around to get beat on by our new coach the next couple of years. I would rather him declare that he is gonna retire after he gets a Big Orange 50-point beatdown. I would like to watch a few more visor tosses at the hands of the vols.

based on what? the "talk of the town?"

i don't think so.

Not basing it completely on that. But we all know he wants to transfer early, and he was very comfortable with a family atmosphere and a players coaching attitude, and Illinois provides all of those. And Illinois always has a lot of Early Graduates, and it benefits them nicely. I have called Juice Williams, Arrelious Benn, and now Giles, and Jenkins. I think Giles is a 75% chance, Jelani is a 95% I think. Never count out Zook in recruiting....do count him out in coaching a lot of times though.

You couldnt be more off. USC is the leader right now by far then Ole Miss.

You honestly think he is scared of Oku? Is that why he committed to UT in the first place?

He committed to UT before Oku did.

That said, I have no idea if he cares about Oku being in Knoxville or not.

It is clear, though, that South Carolina offers more early playing time than UT...South Carolina doesn't have any SEC caliber running backs.

Once again proof that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about...

Giles committed before Oku...so his original commitment was made before he knew he would be competing with someone of equal/greater talent for playing time...

Couple that with the 3 other SEC caliber backs already on the roster and suddenly Giles doesn't appear to be too fond of competition does he?

My bad for not knowing Giles committed before Oku. But there's no reason to believe he is "scared of Oku" haha. 3 All-SEC backs? Who are these guys? I agree they are probably very highly talented but what have they done? Remember when yall said Johnathon Crompton was All-SEC calibur and I said he hasn't proved anything yet?

We have Eric Baker, who has basically taken over the RB role and he is a true freshman then you have Miles and Maddox who are all first year players as well. If Giles was scared of competition he wouldn't go to either school much less an SEC school.

First, he didn't say All-SEC backs. Just capable of being a decent back in a conference with top notch defenses.

Second bold point, ........c'mon :p

Here's the site on rivals about the "beast" Jarvis Giles who, by changing his commitment, has become mediocre. Just click on "list" to see where he is leaning. 2009 College Football Running Back: Quick List

S. Carolina is beginning to benefit from the fall of UT and Clemson football programs and their coaching changes.

What's the word on Butch Davis @ UT?

I think that if we hire a coach that retains Drayton you will see Giles come on back. He's putting So Car off for a reason.

Did you guys enjoy that Beat Down last weekend?? Or Was that Par for the course?

Eric Baker=WHO? You mean a guy with 183 yards this season has taken over the RB role at USCe. WOW

Thank you:hi:....but after dealing with this retard for over a month now I'm not surprised that he either missed my point or took it out of context
