South Carolina historically sucks and will continue to - we suck and won't continue to. It's perfectly O.K. to talk down an irrelevant program when trolls come on our board trying to gloat about taking a recruit because our coach was fired.

What the hell are you talking about? I am not defending anything. You made a comment about beating UT like it was something big...a team that is pathetic...a team that the University of Wyoming beat. Point is, South Carolina hasn't beat one ranked person all year, or one team that is worth a dang. We are upset at Tennessee cause we are not used to medocrity and staying at home during the holidays. Maybe we should ask South Carolina for advice on how to cope with it. I literally feel sorry for SC this weekend...the gators...at the swamp.

Oh btw...I can talk "down" SC all I want..this is a VOLS message board. I said it a few weeks ago....Why are SC fans so defensive? You come on here and talk trash with NOTHING to back it up with. Before you beat our high school team of a football team this year, SC had beat UT by a total of 1 point this decade. At least a bammer, dawg, or gator can come on here and talk trash and have something to back it up with. You have nothing, just like your trophy case in Columbia.

Hahaha, no, I don't. To be proud of medeocrity is a USCe thing. Why do you think everyone has been up in arms about our coach, even though we have only had 2 losing seasons in his career that almost spans 2 decades. To say that we wish to be anything like USC is completely foolish. You and your fellow fans are just fine with the way things are going even though you will always be a 7-8 win team at best. What are you gonna do in 3 years when USC is an automatic win for Florida, UGA, UT, and even Clemson? You will still be happy to beat Kentucky, and Vandy, wait......... maybe not Vandy.

The fact is that you are happy to be a school close enough to the beach where old, burnt out coaches love to come to work on thier golf game and coach football in the offseason. Vol nation is up in arms about the program because they look at schools like yours and realize you are exactly what we don't want to become. So you can make fun now but the teams you play every year (UT & Clemson) are taking big steps to not become USCe football. There is no jealousy here. Only fear of becoming just like you. :the_finger:

You like to twist information dont you? We've beaten you 2 out of the past 4 years. Every loss has come down to the wire. Yall don't dominate us anymore. You can back up your history all you want but whether you like it or not, those dominant days are over. Maybe not forever but at least for the past few years and the next few they are over.

That is exactly what I am talking about. You are so proud to be 7-3 and number 25 in the country. That is exactly what we don't want to be....... Proud of something like that. Congrats, you will have a winning record (barely), make it to some mid-December bowl game, and barely break the top 25 (even though that won't be the case after this week)......... Its a decade of seasons like that which got OUR coach fired. So be proud to be that kind of team, we sure weren't.

Who said I was proud? I'm not. We've been in the top 25 at some point almost every year I've been a gamecock fan. It's no big deal. But when a UT fan, or any fan for that matter, says he'd rather have their current losing record than be 7-3 and in the top 25 is out of their mind.

The reality today is UT has hit rockbottom and there is no guarentee of an SEC title for UT just like any team. Some of you think you already have an SEC title and an NC wrapped up in the next 3-4 years. USC is on the way up. We may not win an SEC title but the truth is UT is going down while USC is going up. Ask anyone around the country. Ask Jarvis Giles and D.J. Swearinger.

USC is the armpit of the SEC... crummy city, thug players, and NOT on the way up. Wow, you beat our team this year! Next year you and wyoming will probably meet for the national championship! Enjoy any of our decommits who are crazy enough to want to spend four years in columbia competing with vandy for fourth in the sec east, and enjoy your year of this because you KNOW Tennessee will be back... The difference in UT and USC is that our ceiling potential and equilibrium in the SEC is about 2-3 spots higher than USC in the East.

"History repeats itself" isn't just a catchy phrase. It is true. Since national championships have been concieved it has been the same teams winning them over and over again in cycles. Why do you think Notre Dame always gets recruits no matter what? The only exception is the military schools, and that is a different story. You are not on that list of teams and never will be. History says alot, and it says that your team will never be better than it is right now.
