Jarvis Giles

The whole deal is we want to sew up all the prior commitments that fit Kiffin's ideas so that we don't get a lot of negative recruiting. Like I said in my previous post, who all have we lost. Losing one recruit or maybe even two is better than losing half the class.

Yeah it is, and if Kiffin can get us close to having a top 10 class that will be HUGE considering the disadvantages he faces. Hamilton played the Fulmer fire and the quickness of the Kiffin hire just right in regards to the coaching change affecting recruiting.

:good!:

1400 still talking about their fans not even going to the bowl game. Negativity abounds. Next year may be Spurrier's last.

Let's just hope that's what happens. We have some ground to make up IMO.

This class isn't going to be the backbone of what we are in store for. For what I can tell, laying the groundwork for next year is more important based on needs. If this class is Top 20, Kiffin did what he needed to do.

I totally agree. The 2010 class will be his first from start to finish. If he can pick up the right players for the right positions to complement our sophomore class, our program will be in great shape, imo.

I agree. Getting the players that will fit his system and fill some needs is far more important than having 5 stud runningbacks in one class to boost the rankings.

What sad, we have some other running backs that we have yet to see that could be good as well. Josh Hawkins is pretty good from what I have been told.

Those 1400 guys are definitely giving it away. It's not like it's a secret, but damn give the boy some kind of surprise.

Yep... they've been saying he's a Cock for an hour or so. Talking about how it's been so long since they had a back who could make tacklers miss.

LOL... like Moreno made Berry miss. :eek:lol:

I'm sure it has been mentioned but if Giles was going to UT why would he need a presser to recommit?

That alone has to point to USClite.

Oh, yeah. We are definitely solid at runningback. We have a bunch of good guys on campus and some good guys coming in. I'm more concerned about recruiting momentum personally. In the past when a big time prospect commits, it opens others' eyes. But as has already been stated, filling needs is much more important than rankings. We still have some really good players that we have a shot at.

I think there are some players that we won't know about until closer to signing day as well.

1400 talking about how Giles could change his mind all the way up until he enrolls.

It's not that hard to envision another change with him before January, whichever way he goes today, FWIW.
