Just got back from Kstate.
"I had a good time. Right now, I'd say I am leaning more toward Kansas State. I have a visit to Tennessee next weekend. After that, I'll decide between those two schools. They have both offered me scholarships already."

Are there any of these recruits that could fly under the radar and become a game changer in the years to come?

His Scout article says he is a strong supporter of the Big-12 and sees it as a better conference than the SEC. I guess grades may be an issue for him. :ermm:

This appears to be our new coaches at work. As of January 16th he didn't even have an offer from us.

6'4" and 245. Wide body and nice frame. Looks like he can definately pack 25-30 more pounds on him. If he can keep his speed and pack that weight as well, he could be a definate find.

Gerald Williams is that size...this kid doesn't look like GW.

I just spoke with Jarrett Brown and he said he had a good visit. He is set to visit Oklahoma next week. He didn't commit and it's going to be Tennessee, Kansas State, Oklahoma, and Iowa State.

New article is up.

He echoed the sentiments of several other players. He liked the atmosphere and felt accepted by the players already at the school.

Someone respected amongst coaches must have put the word out on this kid.

"I hadn't heard from Tennessee till last week and they called offering a visit. They said they had just found out about me and found out that I was a good player."

Garza will be visiting him next week and possibly bringing one of the Kiffins with him.

This kid is the true definition of sleeper pick, he was being recruited by WKU just a few weeks ago now, K ST., OK, and UT are on him heavy!

Jarrett Brown likely not a Vol.

“I think it would take a whole lot to beat Oklahoma out,” he said.

UT tried.

Brown said he liked the credentials of the Vols’ coaching staff, which contains several members with NFL experiences. “They have a really nice coaching staff,” Brown said. “They coached in the NFL so they know what they’re talking about.”

Brown liked what he heard from UT defensive line coach Ed Orgeron.

Brown said he was impressed with Orgeron’s approach to coaching defensive linemen.

“We watched video tape, according to the Tampa Bay (Buccaneers) defense,” Brown said. “I watched (former Buccaneer) Warren Sapp get after it. Me and Coach Orgeron, we got up and started doing the drills on the tape.”

Brown said UT told him he would have a chance to play early, which is a key factor in his decision.

The problem for the Vols is Oklahoma has promised him the same opportunity.

Brown also grew up an Oklahoma fan, which makes playing for the Sooners even more appealing.

“That’d be nice, real nice,” Brown said. “It’d be a real good experience.”
