Bad take.

His change at the LOS in no way shows selfishness or anti-team player mentality. He's trying to win the game with what he thought was the right call.

QBs/play callers often go with some type of "trickery" at the goal line. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I guess Peyton Manning was a selfish player when he ran the bootleg for a rushing TD?

@WillisWG too funny...I would like to see him break down that Bama game and what he was thinking in that now infamous play and that Georgia State game.

I often wonder how much lack of coaching, lack of O Line protection, lack of outlet to dump the ball via RB or TE, and such contributed to JG being afraid to make the right decision quickly and get the ball out early which in turn lead to all the interceptions, incompletions, dropped passes, and sacks.

Watching him break this down in the video, I can see he would have definitely benefitted from better coaching.

These kids couldn’t care less what a bunch of old dudes in front of their computers wearing a 1979 letterman jacket think. We, as fans try to give our self to much credit sometimes.

It's one thing to explain what is happening. There are a lot of knowledgeable fans who have never played a down of QB in their life who can give good explanations of something that happened. To actually be able to do it is quite another.

JG certainly would not have been any worse if he had better coaching. He also I think just lacked a lot of the tools required to play QB in the SEC.

No doubts he would've benefited from a different HC/OC. Timing is everything

Such anpoor take. He was being coached by football imbeciles. He shpuld have chamged the play more often.

Just an example of how much the Guarantanos bleed Tennessee orange, Rutgers was hosting a 7 vs 7 high school teams camp the Spring of his senior year. He wasn’t playing of course, but he was there with his whole family to support his high school team. For those that don’t know, his Dad was one of the best wide receivers in Rutgers football history and is in the RU Athletics Hall of Fame. Except for his Dad, the whole family was in orange.
