Does anyone listen to this hack on Nashville radio? Another uninformed idiot spewing UT hate all over middle Tennessee. Good lord right now he's reminiscing about being buddy buddy with Jordan Rodgers and how UT is about to run off the tracks. One really bad thing about Nashville: over half the town can't stand UT.

So, is he saying UT barely makes a bowl? Cuz unless that happens, I dont see any scenario UT "runs off the rails".

1/2 of Nashville are not Tennesseans, unfortunately...much like Atlanta, many are not from Georgia.....so it goes

Well the half that can't stand UT must be mostly bamer fans cuz they sure ain't Vandy fans.

In the 80's, the entire state and most of North Georgia was Big Orange, we just need some separation from kiffen/dooley experience.

And they prove it every home game against us in attendance.

It's Jared Stillman, not Garrett. He's on 102.5 The Game in the afternoons now with Floyd Reese. He's not sold on Tennessee because has little faith in Butch's gameday/sideline acumen. He honestly isn't normally very anti-UT, especially for a Vandy guy. He just doesn't think much of Butch's ability to win a big game. I'm not a fan of the guy personally, especially since he's taken on Colin Cowherd's style/persona as a radio personality. He literally mimics the guy.

Also, Nsshville is a UT town. No way anywhere near half of town can't stand UT...that's rubbish.

Lived in Nashville my whole life, minus my Navy days, and I don't know any Vandy fans. Heck I've spotted more deer in east Nash than em. If they're here they hide well.

Yeah. Totally made up that part. While there are a lot of fans of other schools in Nashville now, UT fans still outnumber all of those fans combined, and it's not even close.

Yep. Can't speak for all of Nashville but east Nash is mostly Vols.

Kind of reminds me of when we were recruiting Hurd and some idiot from out here in Hendersonville came on here saying that Hendersonville/Sumner county had pretty much turned into Vandy fans because of Dooley. Never happened....not even remotely close.

Rubbish! The Vols are the favorite college team in Nashville by a wide margin. That # might indeed be 50%. But, if so, all the other teams add up to the other half. Vandy with 20%; Bama with 15%; a few scattered Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia, etc.

Many bandwagon fans who jump around to whoever is hot. So, the Vols are about to get a bunch of new fans.

There is UT haters in Nashville and some of them love to get loud when they get the chance but Nashville has more UT fans in it than Vandy fans. It's called reality. GO VOLS!!!

Plaster just left to become the Assistant AD at Belmont. Stillman took his time slot in the afternoon with Floyd Reese....."Jared and the GM Show".

Nashville is a Vols town, and solidly so. Deeply, deeply Vols. Even a lot of guys who own and work at businesses on the West End, right around Vanderbilt, will tell you so if you wear orange into their restaurants and shops. They just gotta keep it quiet, because they can't lose the Vandy student business. :)

Absolutely a Vols city, bleedin' orange.

Go Vols!

Agree in general. I'd say there's actually more Bama fans than Vandie fans in Nashville. Also, OleMiss actually has a pretty high presence here. However, no one should doubt who owns Nashville and middle Tennessee....it's the Vols by a country mile.

Another person that does not like UT.........cancel the season, fire Butch, close the school, turn Neyland into a soccer field.........don't let the <1% get to you.....that is what they want......UT's proof will be on the field when be pound a mud hole into Vandy.

I have a lot of family in Old Hickory and have spent a lot of time there... While there is some resentment for UT, I don't believe that it's over half the town at all. Middle Tenn is Big Orange Country.

There are still a lot of Vol fans not totally sold on Butch.

This will be the season that will shut them up. Can't argue with them until UT shows it on the field, because Butch still doesn't have a good record against the SEC big boys yet.

Well, ok not half the town. I was pissed off in awful traffic going through downtown when I started this haha. But I've only been back in town for one fall since I moved away when I was a kid and just remember seeing all these bama fans on the demonbreun bars and way too many ole miss and uga fans near the bars close to Vandy last year. I'm sure I'll see much more orange this fall.

As for Jared, someone mentioned hes not sold on Butch because he can't go toe to toe with the big boys (one play away from beating Saban in Tuscaloosa). Then they went on to say that the defense wasn't conditioned and they looked tired in the 4th quarter of games. Of course they looked tired, we didn't have depth anywhere. Anyways, it was just a really biased broadcast and the way he presented it would have set off all of you I promise you that!

Edit: he was also hating on Jeff Fisher big time 2 days ago, and I love Jeff so naturally I despise this man lol
