ugh this is disappointing. This kid's starting to show all the signs of a LaMarcus Coker.

anyone else having trouble with the board right now?

These kids showed their true talent last night at 1:45am......... JJ is guilty by association! didnt they have class this morning? what were they doing out at that time of night? oh yeah trying to rob someone in a Hyundai............if it werent so sad it would be hilarious.......

In a day full of dumb, this pretty much takes the cake.

This is the second time Jackson has been in trouble in his short career as a Vol. Kiffin needs to put his foot down and make a example of him if he doesn't want the team to start behaving like it was when fatboy was coach.

It depends on the circumstances. If he is completely cleared of all charges I think you have to analyze the situation and give him a hefty suspension and punishment meaning probably the rest of the regular season. He has been involved in a couple of different things since being at tennessee and needs to straighten up. We need him to play again this year but we need to worry more about this young man and him getting his life straight.

JJ is an awesome player we need him even though he did mess up already....i think he sits out the remainder of the season no uniform....he will be seen without a uniform on the sidelines and everyone will know exactly who he is

If he's innocent of this event, give him a drug test. He passes, he stays. He fails, he's gone. That should clear up his nightly activities right there.

Suspend him for the rest of the year. If he even breathes the wrong way.....gone.

I will get flamed for this as being a rival fan but here goes. JJ should be gone. I do not care if the charges are dropped or not. The school has to look at the situation and the precedence it sets if he remains. Yes we all make mistakes but this is his third strike. CLK has this program gaining back it respect on the field and off. Now this puts a damper regarding the off the field, but he can correct it by saying no more chances you are gone.

If this was his first time I might could understand, but this is a pattern that is going in the wrong direction. I do not care if he was walking out of the store, got out of the car, or had no idea what so ever what they were going to do. The one fact that seems to be overlooked is after they did it he got back in the car with them and left. He could have called another team mate or friend and said I need a lift, because if is so innocent why go with them after they commited the crime.

Look JJ is one of my favorite players to watch this year. He also has the potential to be a first round draft pick. But this is where CLK stands behind his words and moves on without JJ. I also think if JJ wasn't a starter most would agree.

I disagree. Richardson's profile is big enough to get the point across. Let him and edwards fall on the sword.

We're going to get negative recruiting anyway.....no need in making it worse than it has to be. Kiffin has enough room to punish JJ and keep him on the team.

Tough spot for Kiffin. Needs to find a way to soften the blow to recruiting. I do hope Jackson stays though

I think Jackson should be suspended for the rest of the season. By next year, this will be forgotten.

Alot of people wanting to throw Jackson under the bus without knowing the facts. :shakehead:

As a hypothetical:

The 4 are hanging out and decide to go get snacks.

Jackson goes in to get snacks, and while he's inside, Nuke and Edwards decide they're going to go Billy Badass.

Edwards goes to one side, Nuke goes to the other with the pellet gun.

Jackson comes out, sees them talking to the people in the car, approaching Nuke from behind so he doesn't see the pellet gun and says "Let's go".

People call the cops, and the cops find all 4 together in the car, arresting them all.

This is a way that Jackson would have no idea what went down, and I'm sure people could come up with others. Do the players even have a curfew on nights other than the night before a game? Jackson might have not even violated team rules if they don't.

Let's wait for the facts to come out first...

NO NO NO!

Don't inject your new-fangled "Reasoning" and "Logic" into this argument, it's just not the message board way!

You must immediately condemn without knowledge of all the facts, for that is the message board way, I thought we had been over this...

I'm doing it wrong? Well, damn...

Let's allow CLK time to meet with the kid and make a decision on whether or not he is worthy of wearing the orange moving forward. If Kiff alows the kid to come back I am sure he will be on the shortest of leashes. I believe coach Kiffin is hurt by what his kids did, and knows his reputation with the people of the great state of Tennessee, as well as the parents of future players is at stake. If JJ is allowed to come back, I would say he will be on his best behavior following this "Scared Strait" situation, and a nasty toung lashing by Monty!!!

He should be kept on the team since he IS innocent, otherwise the charges would not have been dropped. I agree to suspend him becasue of the situation he out himself in unless he didnt know they were going to rob anyone. (doubt). Suspend him for the rest of the year and drug test him every week, keep him under a huge microscope, if he messes up he again, he should be gone. There HAS to be discipline on the team.
