Janzen Jackson rumor..(merged)

To me, the issue is not that he was smoking weed - In fact, I would argue that EVERY player on the football team has smoked weed before, and more than half do it on a regular basis.. The issue is a lack of respect, you basically have to want to get caught smoking weed nowadays since in most cases you know when you are going to get tested by the university.... but lets not crucify this kid just b/c most of us on here are too out of touch with college life - weed is incredibly common...

I would disagree that all have smoked it. Probably a lot but not all.

just to let ya'll know janzen missed practice to go home. I know this for a fact I am his uncle. rumors are rumors but knowing how janzen is ya don't have to worry about weed in his system. he deserves to get in trouble for not complying.

Well I'm in the gulf of mexico reading all this so i called my wife. She said janzen...witch is her nephew was not drinking on the strip. He doesn't even wear a necklace and he did get in trouble but it was for missing practice....and i agree that actions should be taken.... I am an LSU fan thru and thru but since janzen has gone to UT I have started following UT harder its a good program and will be hell for us to beat ya'll next year. Janzen will hopefully pull his head out and be a part of ya'lls traditions.....

Just wanted to respond to this by clarifying that he missed practice because he was at my bar apologizing for his actions. So, yes in fact he did get in an altercation on the strip, and yes he did miss practice. But only becasue he was here getting his chain back and apologizing. As far as a $3000 dollar chain.........false. He made that statement after he lost it during the fight with my security guards. It WAS NOT a $3000 chain. Anyway, I am glad he was suspended. He messed up, he deserved to be put in his place. Hopefully he takes the lesson the right way and uses it.

:lolabove:

What BS... why would a bar owner join this board to put that out there? First post?? :crap2:

You don't have the legal right to be withholding ANYONE'S personal property!!!...and what a bunch of scumbag @$$hats you guys are, seizing his personal property and insisting he apologize to get it back.

You never had legal right to it to begin with...you SOB's, and I hope your bar gets a black eye out of this whole incident.

You do not know what happened. If I saw my friend get his face broken with a sucker punch I think I might have done more than take a chain...

Doesn't matter...an altercation is not cause for property to change ownership. If you feel wronged in some fashion, you take legal avenues to resolve it...stealing/withholding someone's property cause you're mad isn't justified....period. A bar owner should know public laws better than the average joe, and know better than to respond with some street thuggery.

To the bar owner....you mess over one of our players, you mess ALL of us over. Remember that. You can act professionally, without resorting to such highminded tactics as requiring an apology for anything...and demanding it or you'll illegally withhold his property. That's not professional at all...that's all ego. I hope you're fined by the city and have your alcohol/business license suspended.

I call BS!

The Rhinestone Cowboy reported is was a failed drug test this AM on the radio show airing on 990 with Charles McRae.

Jimmy is a bitter POS. He quickly cut off a caller challenging him on this report and airing this information on the radio.

sounds like it to me,but what bar is it ? anybody know ?
I've not heard specifically, but I can guarantee that JJ didn't miss practice to go to some bar to apologize; get real! They may have been an altercation at a bar that resulted in a suspension, but he didn't ditch practice to go apologize for it.
