Janzen Jackson rumor..(merged)

So it is all just speculation still at this point. I wish reporters wouldn't write stuff unless they know for a fact. If he did fail a drug test I wonder how CLK will handle that. I am not really sure how any school will handle that now a days. If it was the bar incident I really do not understand where people think it is not a law enforcement issue. Even if he left before the police came they can still charge him for whatever if the bouncer and the bar wanted to. Who knows maybe it is under investigation.

Isn't CLK suppose to address it after the game today?

Lets say he does fail the drug test and its not all speculation. It is going to be interesting to see how CLK disciplines his FB players compared to CUM. Considering that CLK called out Meyer for not disciplining spikes hard enough. You can be sure Epsn is going to be over this story when it comes out.

I think that the response to Drug test violations are pretty well defined by the NCAA & the University.

I know smoking weed or whatever he was doing is illegal but there are a lot of things much worse that he could have done. The thing that bothers me is that we have to publically put out there that he failed a drug test. It is none of our business. I feel sorry for him on that account but not because he made a bad choice. Let the team take care of it and not put it out in the media. I would say if any of you all got caught smoking dope that your parents wouldnt call the news sent. I don't think kids should do it but they ar kids why should we put them in the paper for a mistake that hurt no1? JMO

All I have to say is that it could have been a lot worse.

not saying that this applies to Jackson in anyway, but why do we always assume that these failed drug tests are weed?

weed is a VERY popular drug, especially around college kids, and it stays in your system longer.

Lets hope it is weed. Children being children imo. Lets hope this is the first and last behavioral problem. This kid is a stud.

I hope it was weed. Not some other drug like cocaine or something. If it was Cocaine I can see why he goes flying at wedges on kick offs lol

Wow. This is new to me. I thought the guy was underage drinking and got kicked out of a club..

To me, the issue is not that he was smoking weed - In fact, I would argue that EVERY player on the football team has smoked weed before, and more than half do it on a regular basis.. The issue is a lack of respect, you basically have to want to get caught smoking weed nowadays since in most cases you know when you are going to get tested by the university.... but lets not crucify this kid just b/c most of us on here are too out of touch with college life - weed is incredibly common...

as usual a lot of judgements being made about a guy when nobody knows what really happened...wait till after the game before running a kids name through the mud

Why don't we all just chill out. Guy made a mistake. Hopefully he'lll learn from it and continue to develop as a player and a person. I'm looking forward to seeing how Myles and Waggner play in his spot.

I hope Kiffin does whateve, and beyond to make an example and prove a point. Fulmer had became lax and that's all you hear from anti-UT fans about the "thugs" on the team. I say nip it, nip it, nip it!

Absolutely disagree. He's an adult, he's at a public university, on scholarship, starting on the football team that represents the public university. I think that all infractions that would normally be a violation of the law should be published for all to see. Hiding these issues does not help solve these issues. If the young man gets embarassed and quits screwing up then he benefits, probably moreso than you and I.

BTW, I still don't know if it is true and I never believe anything Hyams says especially if he is breaking it.

What was he disciplined for the 1st time?
He and Mike Edwards got into trouble for something before the season started and were held out of practice. Spent the entire practice time with AA apparently putting them through every drill imaginable. Obviously he didn't learn a lesson the first time. He has become one of my favorite players because of his play ON the field, unfortunately he is also becoming one of my least favorite because of his actions OFF the field. Tons of ability too, hope he gets his s__t together before he blows it.
