Janzen Jackson, Nukeese Richardson arrested

What were they thinking? Obviously, they weren't. They must have been brain dead. Get the trash off our team.

"When the victims showed their wallets to the suspects to prove they didn't have any money, a third suspect arrived, saying, "We've got to go."

The victims told police a woman was driving as the suspects left.

Using descriptions from the victims of the suspects and their vehicle, police later spotted the suspects near Gibbs Hall on the UT campus.

The four were taken back to Cumberland Avenue where the victims identified Edwards and Richardson as the two who demanded money.

UT athletics officials have not yet commented on the arrests, only saying head coach Lane Kiffin is looking into the incident."

UT football players arrested, suspected in local armed robbery

From the reports that we are getting, the only ones placed at the scene at the time of the crime were Nuke, Edwards, and this girl.

According to the WATE report I saw, they placed all three at the scene. One with the gun at the drivers side, one on the passenger side collecting money, and the third coming up and saying "we need to go now", with the driver still in the Prius.

That looks pretty damning.

I was just woken up to this news. I heard from a girl dating Nuke that he and JJ were arrested for armed robbery. Also heard that they were bailed out by CLK. Not Good.

hubbs was just on rivals radio and said there were 4 people involved in total. the car was driven by a female. edwards and nuke left the car and demanded everything in the car next to them. they were carrying a co2 pellet gun. when cops found them, the also found marijuana in the car but the female car owner claimed that.

IMO JJ stays because he didn't go up and rob any1 or ask for any money. He is indefinately suspended until he gets his head on straight but Edwards and Nuke got to go. What if that girl had a big boyfriend in the back who got out and they shot him? We got to keep the campus as safe as possible.

Please read the rest of the thread. It's annoying having to read over and over again where people still don't knwo that MIke Edwards was involved as well. We established that at like 7:45.

More info: one of them used a 9mm semiautomatic handgun to rob a person leaving the Pilot. They fled in a powder-blue sedan and were caught up with on Neyland drive. They were brought back to the Pilot and identified by the victim and subsequently arrested. Store surveilance equipment recorded the incident.

pellet gun!!!!!!!!

First, I'm a big fan of Kiffin - but, this does lend some credence to what many said early on. He'll either lead us to a championship w/in 5 years, or probation. It's a tough situation to be in, trying to get things turned around quickly while not inviting too many thugs and troublemakers.

I just hope this is an isolated case and doesn't become a trend.

Nothing to do with Kiffin! And how does this story relate to us being on probation in 5 years? It doesn't have anything to do with recruiting.

these guys are heading to jail for a good time. Now Nukeese can really worry bout playing time.

Honestly any trolls that come and say crap about this situation need mental help. This is FAR above football and is about the lives of real people. Football is a game, life is not. I hate that this has happened. We don't understand why people with such bright futures do things like this, but we got to look at the bigger picture. They need Jesus plain and simple just like we all do.

I hope and pray for the sake of these young men that this gives them a reality check that causes them to turn their lives toward God and live a productive life. May not be on the football field, but God delights in using broken vessels for his honor and glory.

I don't bleed Crimson or Orange on situations like these. I pray for the best for these young men.

thanks for being classy REV. i hope they find jesus.

Brent Hubbs on 104.5 the just said that a female was driving. She had the pot. Nuke and Edwards were the ones that went up to the parked car with a CO2 pistol. The victims didn't have anything and Jackson yelled at the other two to come on and they leftthe scene.

I see your point Rev, but if this had happened at Bama or Florida, our trolls would be in full force too. Sad but true.

From GVX....

According to KPD spokesman Darrell DeBusk, the incident began at 1:43 a.m. at the Pilot station, 2218 Cumberland Ave., when officers were alerted to an armed robbery in progress.
When officers arrived, they found Corey B. Zickefoose, 20, Benjamin J. Everett, 19 and Corey M. Smith, 18, claiming to have been accosted by two men wearing black hoodies.
The trio told officers they were sitting in a 1998 Hyundai Elantra at the convenience store while a friend was inside the business. As they waited for their friend, a man opened the drivers door, brandished a handgun and stated, "Give me everything you have," DeBusk said.
A second man also wearing a black hoodie then opened the passenger door of the Hyundai and reiterated to the trio, "Give us everything you've got," DeBusk said.
The victims said they showed the two men their empty wallets and said they had no money. A third man then approached the car and told the other two men in hoodies, "We've got to go," DeBusk said.
The three men got into a 2010 Toyota Prius driven by a woman and fled the area.
Officers stopped the car on Neyland Drive near Leinard Lane after it had been seen near Gibbs Halls.
Police found Edwards, Richardson and Jackson in the car, which was driven by Marie Montmarquet, 22, DeBusk said.
A search of the Prius revealed a air-powered pellet pistol under the rear seat. Two black hoodies were seen in plain view in the back seat, DeBusk said.
In the car's glove box police found a marijuana grinder. Police found a clear plastic bag of suspected marijuana in Montmarquet's jacket pocket, DeBusk said.
Montmarquet told police the pot grinder and pot found in her jacket belonged to her, DeBusk said. She was charged with simple possession of pot and possession of drug parapharnalia.
The suspects were taken to the Pilot station where the three victims identified Edwards and Richardson as the two men in black hoodies who demanded their wallets.

Nuke will definately be more home sick in jail. What's he going to do about putting his info up on facebook?
