This shows the talent gap is closing even with one recruiting class. He was knocking the crap out of people all game. Brice showed his stuff today and Oku looked solid on return duty. These guys grew up today in a major way. With this next class we will be up and running. Decent bowl game this season and serious contention next year look like solid goals.

Except next year we've got an absolute brutal schedule - as well as a very young and inexperienced O-line, and possibly NS at QB still.

We'll be better in different areas - but it won't be a big year next year probably without and O-line or QB.

Jackson did look impressive today. Man if Berry returns for his senior season, which i doubt, UT would have the greatest set of headhunters in SEC history.

I say throw Bray into the fire. I always thought Nick Stephens would be better in his second year in the system but I know all I need to know. If he isn't good enough to start over Crompton today... I doubt he is good enough to start over a better passer in Bray. I guess I don't know that Bray is better but I have a feeling he is.

Just stating facts man - look at our schedule. Bray may very well be the only QB we take and he's going to need some time - but the offensive line situation is the most scary.

I wish next year would be our break through year - but it's just really unlikely. 2011 is our time.

It was a great stick on James by Jackson. I was proud of them today. I saw what I had hoped to see, a hard fought game in which we 'bloodied' Florida...

On a totally unrelated note, Chat_Town, don't ever change your avatar... :)

I say the same thing about Bray. Look at all of the Freshmen that played today on the biggest stage you can have outside of Neyland. Our coaching staff can prepare freshmen for sure, and they can get Bray ready to play.

Yep, that hit was quite the slobberknocker. Even shook himself up a little...:rock::rock:

Our defense so worth watching the game again tonight so i can see more of the hits. They were playing their gaps and stayed patient.

What is it about Crompton that these coaches see. I could play QB and do better. The team all played great with the exception of the so-called QB.

whats important is the experience the freshman are gaining... they went into the freaking swamp and gave em all they wanted...

are they even nervous in Neyland next year?.... the answer is obvious

At some point the guys on the team are going to get sick of it. 7 pics in 3 games? Tick tick

The hit on James was awesome and saved a TD.

Did anybody else notice how many more huge hits JJ almost had? He nailed another DB on the last UF touchdown trying to separate Demps head from his shoulders. Several times I saw him flying in to finish or just missed making other huge hits.

Gonna be fun watching him the next couple of years.

he is the real deal. Next year after he has a year in the weight room will be something to see.
