I heard tomorrow is the big day? Can someone confirm he is in court tomorrow and his fate is decided? If so when should we know his fate?

All three are going to trial together. WBIR in knoxville will be giving updates as they get them(so after hyams). We will know JJ's fate based off the judges decision. Guilty= kicked off innocent= maybe plays bowl or as soon as kentucky, a innocent of gun crime but guilty of being involved= suspended for year. Thats my opinion.

If he is in fact appearing in front of a judge tomorrow that would mean that the solicitor has not dropped charges against him so that may be a bad omen.

Hopefully the charges will be dropped at the hearing. If so, perhaps CLK would reinstate JJ, and he could save the D v. Cobb and Co. in Lexington saturday.

I want JJ to play against Kentucky, too, but even if the charges are completely dropped he was a part of this. We can't just act like nothing happened because he is big time player. That is not Tennessee football. I think he has to be suspended for the rest of the season, especially with his previous issues on this team.

He has been suspended for the last three games. If charges are dropped entirely his offenses are whatever led to Memphis suspension and being out late with some dumb dudes. Two games for hanging with the wrong folk is fine if and only if all charges are dropped. He can make it up on the field.

Depending upon the facts, I agree that the most likely scenario is a suspension for the rest of the year. The most favorable outcome would be a set of challenges where he could earn his way back into the bowl game, but IMO not likely.

Should the charges be dropped, it wouldn't be going too easy to bring him back this week, given that he has already been suspended the last 3 games. Hell, the FL LB tried to poke a man's eyes out and got suspended one half (he "suspended" himself the 2nd half).

I don't think you can just be away from practice and all team activities and magically come back and be ready to play against Kentucky. I am a big JJ fan and would love to see that, but I would honestly be surprised to see him in the bowl game even if all the charges are dropped and he is cleared of any wrongdoing both legally and by the coach's investigation.

Don't forget about when Spikes broke into an impound lot and stole his car back. The owner magically decided to not press charges upon finding out he was a UF player...

I like this staff, I think they will maintain discipline regardless of who the person is and how important they are to the team. I love all of Kiffin's talk, but now he has a lot more eyes on him and has to make all the right calls here.

JJ is better without practice then anyone minus Berry and Rogan that we have at DB. It is not close. At the Ole Miss game watching Waggner and Wolfe back there made me want to cry. They are athletically over their heads in that spot in the SEC. Vinson is the only guy we have who is athletic enough to do what he does and he evidently smoked all his brain cells away.

PREFACE-my humble opinion based on experience.
I have faced numerous charges from low felonies to avg misdemeanors(sp) and to my knowledge the 3 or 4 times my charges were dropped,it was at the courthouse on my court day. The defense and DA will converse regarding the facts and details of the situation. ie-jackson could testify against the other two...video evidence shows him in the store before and during It going down and supports his story...so on. The DA will either lessen, drop,or procede as is with the charges. If they're going to be dropped tomorow is indeed (I believe his attorney would agree) his best chance.

I agree. IF he wasn't involved they shouldn't make him sit any longer just to make the university look good.

Most first appearances result in continuances. However, in JJs case, I would not be surprised for the DA to nolle (move for dismissal) of the charges. Charges against the others will continue forward unless there are charge reduction pleas to misdemeanor offenses with expungement provisions if their TBI checks come back clean.

Finally someone experienced with the justice system speaks out. I have no clue how this thing works since never ran into the law, not even speeding ticket.

It doesn't take anything from your point, but it was Tebow's roommate/husband/snuggle-buddy/whatever Tony Joiner that broke into the impound lot, not Spikes.

I love it when I'm right. Here's to a free county and a justice system that gets it right more than wrong. GO VOLS

Be patient. In just a little time he will be in trouble again and we can be rid of him as well.

Stay classy.

Please don't use "we" in your posts, unless you have a mouse in your pocket.

You don't speak for me, and I'm safe in guessing you don't speak for 99% of others on here.
