I dont really know the rule with the recruiting side of it, but if Pope, Meline, Askew left before NSD, could we have possibly had room for Mackey? In other words, with those guys leaving did it free up any recruiting numbers?

Pope cried too much, Meline never played, who is Askew? And JJ is a huge loss. If its all true and he comes back, that would be great. But he was someone we couldn't lose..

We had 3 DTs committed before the exodus. Taking receivers was important. Jones and Moore had one more year and there's no one behind them that's proven anything.

Didn't Zsnow say a few months back for fans to treat every game like Jacksons last? Pretty sure he called that Meline and Pope would be gone. Just shows this team is getting better.

Saban would never get rid of his best defensive player no matter what happened. I think Gators and Vols both can agree on this.

Players are leaving the team, and one of which is one of the best players on the team, and this shows our team is getting better...

No disrespect to Pope, but that must have been one helluva stinger. Seriously, that is unbelievable. Do stinger really end guys careers? Something else must be going on there. I wish him well.

Kinda sucks about Meline. I was hoping he was gonna be a good athlete for us after hearing about his height and speed. Askew and Pope on the other hand, ehh. And Evans coming back made me cry. Jk

I remember askew being a 4* that was really hyped. Anyone know why he had so much trouble seeing the field? Was it physical or mental?

Unfortunately, it is necessary as part of the continuing effort to clean up the cesspool of bad attitudes that the Volunteer program has become. It is called draining the swamp.
