I know some may be tired of being reminded that it has been 10 years since a SEC, or National Championship.

Though, it is now January 4th, 2009. 10 years ago to the day, we were celebrating a National Championship. With all of the coaching news, it's an exciting time in its own way. Let us hope the new staff can bring us back to this one day. :toast:

I didn't realize how slim fulmer was back than. Those jelly filled donuts really took their toll.

Every time I see one of those award ceremonies, I wonder if the corporate representative for the bowl's sponsor is actually trying to be the biggest goober in the world or if it just comes naturally.

Are you talking about the guy with the Tostitos bag of chips? He looked pretty anxious trying to give Fulmer the bag, & trophy.

It doesn't seem like it was 10 years ago. Doesn't seem that long ago at all.

A truly great evening. Nothing like wearing Papa Bowden out to get a ring.

The happiest night I ever saw as a Volunteer fan. I remember tearing up when CPF raised up the trophy.

I miss Keith Jackson calling games... He was great!
Say what? "Pac 10" Jackson HATED Tennessee.

That was one thing that made it even sweeter. That was supposed to be old "Pac 10's" last game. He later changed his mind about retirement. I've always said he came back, because he didn't want his last game to be a UT NC.

Watched that game with the sound down on the TV and John Ward on the radio...didn't get any better than that!
"The national champion is clad in big orange."...Thanks John for the memories :hi:
