I remember blowing a 17-3 lead to Oklahoma and a 20-7 lead to Florida in a span of 3 weeks. That season could have been really special.

Defense kept us in those games. Playing not to lose on offense is why we lost. JMO.

I thought he was a decent DC, but based on the circumstances of why he left, I can’t imagine this is a possibility. Also, how do you hire Jancek when Greene is sitting on campus. I’m not even a Greene fan, but come on man!

Jancek's the dude who was bringing his non-wife girlfriend around the facilities even after told to cut it out, isn't he? Or am I remembering some other DC who got shown the door?

If that was him, I doubt this hire will ever happen. University leadership going for integrity as a high priority this go-round.

You could literally hear Butch clenching his ass cheeks for fear of losing the lead against OU. He went 100% prevent offense, clung to the run game, and kept putting the ball in Baker Mayfield's hands.

The 2nd half of that game it was obvious CBJ didn't have what our program needed and that he would never win big. The guy just couldn't handle the pressure.

Im good with that. In fact im borderline great with that hire. We were ranked the 109th total defense in 2012. Jancek came in 13' & we moved up 30 spots to 79th. In 2014 we had the 35th ranked defense under Jancek and the 16th ranked total defense in 2015. If we are anywhere in the top 50 total defense next year we will surpass expectations with the offense we hope to have.

I like Steele. But I feel like Jancek's defenses were more disruptive at Tennessee than what Steele has been doing at Auburn. Jancek also got some really good d-linemen including Barnett and Phillips. If it's Janceck, let's roll.
