"Jamey's new track "Macon" is available now at iTunes! "Macon" is from the upcoming 25-track double album The Guitar Song, in stores September 14th!"

Can't wait for the new album.

I like Jamey Johnson a lot.

Brad Paisley was great when he first started. "Welcome to the Future" sucked. He does write most all his songs and he plays the hell out of a guitar so he's okay by me.

Miranda Lambert is one of the best things country music has going right now.

I'm waiting on Shooter Jennings and Hank III to crash commercial country radio...

I think you're going to be waiting a long time. You heard Black Ribbons yet? Shooter is getting farther and farther away from ever crashing commercial radio. As for Hank, I think there are a whole hell of a lot of people with influence who will work very, very hard to make sure he's never a factor.

Country music is dying a slow death.
Country music is alive and well it is just now called Americana and New bluegrass.
I don't know what that stuff is they call country now days. (exception being Jamey Johnson)

We've finally gotten an old school FM Country station in Lexington. The problem is that for every Hank or Roger Miller song, you get a Crystal Gayle or Juice Newton tune as well.

Americana and Bluegrass aren't country. There are no more country stations in the 2 largest markets in the country(LA and NY) and they have all changed formats in the last few years. Changing demographics are the reason.

There will always be "country" music is certain parts of the country but it will be a much smaller genre than it is now.

336 spins across 55 stations is dead. Speaking of dead, the biggest artists on that list won't be around for too much longer. Is anyone on that list going to pick up where they left off? Not a chance. It's an esoteric genre with a disappearing demographic. In 15 years it will be half of what it is now.

being the best thing going in country doesn't help his cause. like saying he is the least smelly piece of crap.
