Cool story. I had a flight that connected through Charlotte today. I hurt my Achilles a few weeks ago and am in an air cast, so I signed up for wheelchair assistance to get me to my gate. I’m wearing Vols attire, of course.
Anyway, the young lady pushing my wheelchair tells me her brother used to play football at UT. When I asked his name, it was James Pearce.
James’ sister, Semaj, and I had a lovely chat as we made our way through the airport. She said her entire family loves UT and is so happy James is a VFL. Notice her name is James spelled backward.
Anyway, I thought it was neat.
Good luck to him. I think Abdul Carter will probably win DROY because he’s a little more nfl ready physically and the Giants D will probably be on the field more. Hope I’m wrong and JPJr has a great year, I just think he’s going to have to develop some more moves than relying on his speed.![]()

No doubt…it’s amazing to me to think that with everything he did here it was still just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what he’s capable of…James pierce is gonna be all pro by the time he’s 24. That’s when men start putting weight on their frame, especially lanky fellas like pierce. He’s just scratching the surface of his potential.
