James Pearce Jr is a Falcon

When they played the Patriots in the SB...
I was on a cruise and saw that the Falcons were way ahead at one point and remember saying to my friend that the Falcons fans were on drugs if they really thought that they were going to be Brady. Prophetic indeed.

Cool story. I had a flight that connected through Charlotte today. I hurt my Achilles a few weeks ago and am in an air cast, so I signed up for wheelchair assistance to get me to my gate. I’m wearing Vols attire, of course.

Anyway, the young lady pushing my wheelchair tells me her brother used to play football at UT. When I asked his name, it was James Pearce.

James’ sister, Semaj, and I had a lovely chat as we made our way through the airport. She said her entire family loves UT and is so happy James is a VFL. Notice her name is James spelled backward.

Anyway, I thought it was neat.

I’ve been a Falcons fan all of my life, it’s been a tough road, but I’m no fair weather fan. I’m very excited to get Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. I think both will prove to be good players in the NFL, maybe more than just good players!

GET you some BOY!

Pearce's rookie deal is estimated to be $16.78 million in total value. He would carry a cap number of $3.05 million in 2025 before topping out in 2028 at $5.34 million.

How many of y'all remember that the Falcons used to hold their pre-season camp up at Johnson City, ETSU? My dad took us there one time. We got a few autographs; don't know if we got Tommy Nobis, but maybe Junior Coffey? We were thrilled.

Atlanta Falcons first round selection James Pearce has been listed as a "best bet" to win the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
Good luck to him. I think Abdul Carter will probably win DROY because he’s a little more nfl ready physically and the Giants D will probably be on the field more. Hope I’m wrong and JPJr has a great year, I just think he’s going to have to develop some more moves than relying on his speed.

Falcons have predicted that Pearce will be their most impactful Rookie.

James pierce is gonna be all pro by the time he’s 24. That’s when men start putting weight on their frame, especially lanky fellas like pierce. He’s just scratching the surface of his potential.
No doubt…it’s amazing to me to think that with everything he did here it was still just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what he’s capable of…

Can you imagine if he grew to 265+ without losing any if his speed or “twitch”…that absolutely has all pro written all over it
