He’s not leaving Penn State. But I understand the OP ask, hate him agreed, but better than Butch and Cornbread.

Plus I’m fairly confident that James Franklin could beat Vanderbilt.

How about offering franklin 10 yr 80million guaranteed? A jimbo type contract to get a proven coach in here. I like Pruitt but sometimes coaches are better suited as coordinators.

Yes that seems to be working swell for A&m.

Um if you are willing to pay that it better be for Urban Meyer. Franklin isn’t that good.

James Franklin is the same clown that said this.
"If I see a 6-foot-6 man walking in the mall with his wife, and she’s 6-2 and she’s pregnant, I’ll go up and offer their unborn child."
I will pass.

Why would he leave Penn St for Tennessee? I could understand him leaving for SC, but penn st is as good of a job as Tennessee, if not better.

For more money, that is why coaches are coaches; for the money. You pay them and pay them well they will come to ut

Nope,he tried to cover up a gang rape by his players at Vanderbilt then left so he wouldn't be charged with anything.

You need a guy with his type of personality.. We need a smug guy who is sure of himself, brash, bold and cocky. Should of hired Leach, would of at least been entertaining. Instead we have Cornbread..

Not in favor of firing Pruitt until AT LEAST after next season, but how about starting with proven commodities:

1st Tier (gotta aim for those who’ve won the big ones)
- Bob Stoops
- Urban Meyer

2nd Tier (great coaches, just no championships)
- Mike Leach
- Chris Petersen

3rd Tier (boy are we in trouble if we get here)
- Gary Patterson
- Matt Campbell
- Lane Kiffin

At the time of Dooley's firing Franklin was brought up, but it was like we were too good to hire a Vandy coach.

I remember that. I was one of the few actually recommending Franklin but because he was at Vandy most assumed we would never go after a Vandy coach. Now look at our mess.

No leach. Check out last nights score. They may be able to throw up some points but there is zero defense. 3rd tier isn’t that bad.

It's exhausting watching/ reading this again so soon after the last hire.

What about _______. What!? You're an idiot! _____ is a much better fit.

_____ hasn't proven anything, moron.

I don't think I can do all this again.
