With the lose they had Saturday that will keep PSU out of playoff picture. This makes James Franklin a hireable coach . AS long as he had a chance for a playoff spot he wouldn't have even answered a call from UT but this has changed everything. This guy should be at the top of the list.

I said on the swain event today.. And I'll say it here. Franklin isn't going anywhere, even though they lost the people worship him up here and and are ready to build a statue for him. He loves it here, he loves the fans, university. Hes going no where. And they will give him what he wants so he will stay.

He is a good coach, let OSU come back after having them smoked and then lost Sat to Michigan State.

I'd be ok with it. Although he ticked me off bad while at Vandy. I am still kinda bitter, but if he wins big, it's cool with me. However, I want a Vol. Tee, Kippy Brown, Jim Bob Cooter...Coach Cut, etc

Since everybody else is hitting the crack pipe, I might as well also.

If we can have Gruden, Chip Kelly and Scott Frost in the conversation, why not James Franklin?

I [personally don't think any of these guys are realistic candidates or good candidates. But if we are going to start dreaming, why not go for J Franklin?

Cause really ? Dude is crushing it at Penn. St, he ain’t leaving there. Not to mention a much easier conference to get 9-10 wins a year in.

Not everyone loves him. Half the people don't think he's anything beyond a recruiter.

You guys would not want Franklen? WT@? He beat us at VANDY. Again at VANDY with way less talent. Had pin state in the mix of the play offs. We can not even get in the mix for the SEC East. Much less the Playoffs. You guys need to get this Gruden off you minds. First of all, what makes you think he can coach? He won a superbowl with Tony Dunggys player and went down hill after that and got fired.

You must have missed the part where I said that since everyone else is hitting the crack pipe, I might as well also. Franklin is no more or less realistic than Gruden, Kelly or Frost.

He won a Super Bowl with one player? What is pin state? Who is Tony Dunggys and why did he have only one player?

James Franklin. Seems unlikely given that Penn State is a better job overall than Tennessee, but that was before I learned that he makes somewhere between 4-5 mil, and we could offer 8. He already knows the state from a recruiting standpoint, good relationships with HS coaches, and a chance to coach in the SEC again with a school with vastly more resources than Vandy. He would kill it here and it wouldn’t take long.
