Oh no he didn't. He knew of the situation prior to the police investigation. He told the team to "stay tight" and then offered the victim a job on his staff. He's a real piece of ****.

And he lost to Butch Jones. Lord knows we can't hire that.

0-10 on road vs ranked teams. Kind of a BS stat though. 0-5 while coaching Vandy. So that's 5 road losses with PSU vs ranked teams...while trying to build a program. Yesterday sucked for him, but overall it's a loaded stat.

Franklin's record v. top 25 is worse than butches.

I think it's time for butch to move on....just like to see more intellectual honest on the flavor of the day, week, month.

Just a thought Paul Chyst wisconsin is the third coach in big ten history to win 30 games in first three years (tressel/meyers). He is 9-0 this year. I looked up his salary $3.2 million with $ 4 million buyout. I know bret bielema is not working out but that doesn’t mean this one would not.

Franklin is perfect fit here. Excellent coach and an elite recruiter who would recruit at a level we haven't seen here since the early 90's. He isn't going to kiss FL, UGA, or Bama's ass. He is a fighter. Plus he seems to hire good assistants.

He is in a division with Harbaugh, Meyer, and Dantonio. And has to play them 3 straight games every year. That's damn near impossible task...

You can't tell me that guy never thought of coaching here while sitting at Vandy. He is from Pennsylvania but south of Philly which is about as opposite as State College as it gets. Compare Knoxville and State College. Come on. He could recruit better players here and I would argue have an easier path for long term success compared to that schedule he has with those 3 games in a row every year.

I think the losses would help our chances but if I was gonna offer a big time coach Franklin is my 1st call. He would kill it here

never liked him at vandy,but got to like they way he chased down players to shake make MS hands after the game even in defeat..CBJ wouldn't make the effort

If beating Butch is a major consideration, almost any coach we play is a prime candidate.

Many things could factor into it. You never know. He may be at his dream job now, but he may leave. Maybe he wants to come back to the SEC?

Wisconsin plays in a division that's possibly worse than the SEC east. Still 9-0 is a fantastic season. If they win out, can they still make the playoff? I bet they didn't like OSU and PSU losing Saturday.

Franklin left the game at neyland flipping fans off then said on his show he hates tn mainly due to the fans but yet you put his name here as a coach? People may be right about tn fans...they say that's the biggest drawback to the job and I never believed it but starting to reconsider

Let's be real: Franklin would be an excellent hire. We'd be crazy not to make him an offer, even if he just used it to get more money from pa. state, which is surely what would happen. What's he making now?

He'd be a dream hire. I have a hard time seeing him making the move, but FWIW, the word is that his family prefers to be back in the south.
