Add the fact that the 08,09,10, and 2011 Tennessee squads were not very good. Not anywhere close to Tennessee standards....but were still was able to beat vondy.

That's fine. He can replay it all he wants, because next year this game will go back to being the afterthought it should be and we'll run them out of their pitiful little stadium. That's for real.

For the record: (slightly edited)

...in 1925, when it came time to hire a new football coach, Robert Neyland was told that the only requirement of his employment was that he kick the sh*t out of Vanderbilt. Keen on maintaining his livelihood, Neyland completely reshaped the dynamic of the Tennessee / Vanderbilt rivalry. Under Neyland, Tennessee began establishing itself as a winning program and embarked on an 82 year stretch during which Vanderbilt would win a grand total of 9 games in 77 tries. With that change, the rivalry rapidly faded into memory — at least for Tennessee fans.

We're going on and on and on about this victory. IF we have any standards left, they are as low as a swift kick to the balls.

That is what makes this win even sweeter. I've never seen so many Vandy bandwagon fans in all my life until this weekend. They actually thought this was their year. They bought into the false bravado and just knew they had the W already. It's even more rewarding to see them so despondent.

I think a lot of the emotion in the locker room was the team saying, "Look Candy, actually do something worth a damn before you proclaim yourself as someone in the SEC that is a contender. You'll continue to be our Little Brother until we say so otherwise."

As someone posted earlier, i'm pretty sure we're about 76-10 against Vandy since 1925. It may not be the most PC thing for Dooley to say, but it's a fact.
