James Franklin is a hypocrite

James Franklin is going to mouth his way into some old fashioned SEC whippings. It's not just UT that is noticing him. Anyone remember how Gerry DiNardo used to run his mouth ? We all know how that turned out. The thing that bothers me the most about Franklin is that he never misses an opportunity to tell you how great he is.

Man that is a great call. I see a lot of similarities. DiNardo did manage to bull**** his way into another job about two seconds before everyone figured out it was smoke and mirrors. His last team took some serious beatings.

I love how much vitriol they carry for Vols fans too. I have two family members that will without question make some sort of snide, "thug-U" remark on Thursday. It just makes me even happier.

Then I think I would remind them that this year's armed robbery was on the VU campus, not on the UT campus. They weren't using a play gun either.

We beat the worst team in the SEC! It's just like winning the Super Bowl!

His last year, 1994, was the best. Vandy came into the game 5-5, and UT was down (Manning's first year) at 6-4. All week Vandy was talking trash about beating UT and making their first bowl since '82. And UT beat them 65-0.

Is it just me or does anyone else think J. Franklin looks like the son of Mumar Qadafi they captured on Sunday?

James Saif Gaddafi Franklin. AKA: Saif Sucks, Sad Saif,
Saif Clown Prince of Coaches.

It's really not hypocritical at all. He is just acknowledging that UT is, and always will be, much better than VU.

I just hope Wake Forest puts a beatdown on Vandy Saturday. It will be funny watching Mr. Cocky not make it to a bowl game.

I have been a UT fan for all my life and have either seen or listened by radio to most every game for over 46 years.... I Am still a UT Fan.

Today I watched the post game Franklin press conference video for the first time, even though he did take a shot (I thought) at Dooley (i.e. "I am not going to talk about youth and injuries.....I am going to take responsibility for my team" etc.) for the most part, I thought he, as a coach said the right things

Most of it was coach speak, and all the build up about the UT post game celebration is mainly a media thing.

Franklin said he would not talk it this year, but would answer any questions they may have during Tennessee week next year, he called it an open wound... I would hope our coaching staff would do the same thing

In conclusion: When we meet the commodes at their high school stadium next year, I hope we stomp a mud hole in their sorry arse, in front of all two of their fans

Let's think about this for a moment. You are comparing Vanderbilt's win over Ole Miss to Tennessee's win over Vanderbilt. You are comparing VANDERBILT'S win over OLE MISS to TENNESSEE'S win over VANDERBILT.

Who freaking cares what a coach does a Ole Miss or Vandy? YOU DO. You talk about him because you feel threatened by him and the more you talk about him the more relevant Vandy becomes. Let it go.

James Franklin Press Conference | Vanderbilt 30, Ole Miss 7 - YouTube

A win against a 5-5 (2-6) Vandy is better than a 2 win (0-7) Ole Miss. He is going to cry about beating Ole Miss, yet criticize Dooley for celebrating winning after our attrition and problems.

Is this a joke?

Any win by Vandy is a big win for them. He had just gotten his first SEC win and got emotional during a press conference and that is somehow equal to Dooley jumping up and down in a mosh pit, saying we will always kick the crap out of Vanderbilt, and leading a cheer emphasizing that his team doesn't give a darn about the whole school of Vanderbilt.. If you were the head coach at Vandy and that didn't piss you off then you don't have a pulse. But he is somehow a hyprocrite because he got emotional during a press conference?

I have no problem with Tennessee's celebration. I was happy to see our players and coaches having a good time, but if I were in Franklin's shoes my feelings would be different.
