James "Flight" White....game over

The only time I dunked with 2 hands was in those shoes (not in a game, of course).

In the 9th grade??

I still had the shoes in 11th grade.

i was obsessed with dunking, but never very good at it. I had great hang time, but could never quite get consistent on 10'. I could do a 360 on a 9' 9" goal at the park by my house, but I couldn't do a plain-ass vanilla dunk on 10' on command. Really weird, IMO.

Every time me and friends discuss dunkers I bring his name up. I get met with confusion about who the guy even is. Sucks that he is 30 and finally getting to be in the dunk contest. I normally don't even watch the dunk contest, but this guy is gonna put on a show. I know, cool story. Seriously YouTube the guy, he has crazy hops.

I agree with it all.. very unfortunate he is just now getting a chance at it. White was nasty at Cinci! Cant wait to see him this weekend.

I was obsessed with Kemp...in 9th grade I was the only person I knew who had these shoes:

I was obsessed with Grant Hill and had these bad boys. Never dunked but I did lead the 6th grade All Star team to a summer championship trophy while holding down the team scoring title. I wasn't trying to pass much.

I always liked the sleek simple look, so I liked the glove. Zipped up, just simple white or black with the big swoosh. I remember thinking they looked fast. Lol It helped that I played PG, I liked shutting people down and GP was my favorite player. Oh and I talked....a lot. Lol

Probably the most well rounded PG as far as both ends. That statement is usually not received well. I had a buddy say Tim Hardaway deserved to be in the hall over GP the other day, I almost slapped him.

Random question, did anyone have the rap album a bunch of players made? It was horrible, GP, B Shaw, Dana Barros, and Cedric Ceballos and JR Rider were a few of them.

I don't really care for GP as a scorer, but he was damn good.
