I hope you were drinking when you posted this to have an excuse for the stupidity in it.

We were projected to be 10-2 by every CFB talking head before the season so they were saying we lose this game and Alabama. That prediction was made before any injuries.

Give it a rest.

Butch should have waited until the day of the game to announce Hurd being out. Funny how Texas A&M gets away with not revealing any injuries.

Is something wrong with Hurd? I'd read he was eating hard toffee. Isn't eating hard toffee in his condition somewhat reckless? I'd think saltwater taffy more appropriate, team captain or not!

That is exactly correct. When my son had a concussion he had terrible pressure in his head. There is no way he could have flown on an airplane.

What terrible luck the Vols have had by losing 5 of their top 7 players to injuries. If we get beat today, let us all keep that fact in mind. Logic says that we probably wont win today, but then logic says we have no chance being down 21 vrs the hated Gators. Logic was wrong. This team has mojo and mojo might be enough.

I doubt getting on a plane and spending the afternoon in a stadium filled with 100k screaming fans is the best thing for recovering from a concussion.

If it is in fact a concussion, then I am not thrilled with CBJ saying a lower extremity injury. Why would he even say that?... is there a benefit I am not aware of?

I had a concussion from a racing accident. One of the things my doctors told me I could not do was fly... Also, the symptoms didn't really start having an effect on me until about a half hour after the wreck.. Up to that point I just had a headache.. I have no idea if this is similar or not, but that may explain why he didn't make the trip.. The doctors may not have cleared him to travel..

You really have no clue nor do I whether Hurd had a bruise or other issue somewhere on one of his lower extremities. Therefore rather than jumping to the conclusion the coach flat out lied consider all the many variables easily in place to where he did not lie about it at all??
