You would think an in-state guy played HS at Tullahoma would have been happy to wear the Orange. Any more money will be a drop in the bucket vs ball out here and you are a VFL and opens doors for you the rest of your life. Go to some other school as just a stop gap when seasons over you're a nobody. Unless he makes it to NFL but looks doubtful IMO.

Hey, Vols hung 38 (and fumbled away 1TD on the 1 yd line) vs Pruitts Ga defense & hes supposed to be the greatest DC in SEC history.

If Thomas can go get big bucks somewhere go for it. Nice player but not worth doing something crazy for.

You guys didn’t see this coming? I checked with insiders and checked their stats. Ha ha.

Like I said 6-6 floor, best probably 8-4. Everyone’s first team will be pretty good. The depth will be a key decider down the stretch. Vols are thin and getting thinner. Need some portal wins.

Thomas was in line for a starting safety spot. That’s not a backup. Starting quarterback leaves over money, if this season goes bad, $1.4M would have been a drop in bucket on what UT looses in buyout money. Who have we got in portal?? We shall see if CH survives after this year. I state facts. No lies in my post. You keep hoping and put down on people that have a different opinion than yours.

How could I forget? 1 of our 2 wins against UGA in the last 15 seasons, whereas we had 3 in 5 seasons when Martinez was their DC. I liked him being their DC better than I like him coaching for us.

Yes with what's available but he definitely misses out on nothing because of the LV. Do you honestly think White would ever jeopardize the success of football for any other sport? It's what funds the entire AD

Their program enabled wins in the 80s and 90s by being a positive revenue generator. They literally gave more than they took from the AD. They also returned money to the gen scholarship fund. If in the future we go to a situation where the AD pays players directly it’s going to matter how much money they make.

We are being out spent to a degree that we shouldn’t accept. I don’t hold Nico against anyone at UT, we played that one right. But We need defensive backs badly and that’s been the case before today. I don’t know who has the final say in fund allocation but it’s evident that they aren’t intent on doing their utmost for football
