All other things being equal or better, I would think he's now too many weeks behind the offensive system's learning curve to contribute or push other QBs. Might even be a drain on the rest of the QB room, devoting time to bringing him up to speed.

Just my opinion. I honestly haven't talked to Halzle in over a week.

This is his last season, so he will be transferring for the fall. According to what I have read, he is facing a 7 game suspension for violating the school's honor code involving premarital sex, which is why he is jumping in the portal.

I could be wrong but hard to see him transferring somewhere with only 2 months to opening day and being able to contribute. And if that’s the case, why even take the chance on rocking the boat in the qb room.

It’s a puff piece speculation article anyways by who even knows who so I’m gonna say this guy is 2 months too late to land anywhere good. Maybe somewhere with no QB and a coach on the hot seat will take a chance on him. I’d be shocked if we even picked up the phone.

I thought I read somewhere that his camp was relaying that he was leaning towards transferring becuase he had an offer on the table from another major program in need of a QB with experience on their roster.

Yeah if he was going to transfer somewhere that he might not end up starting, I think he’d just eat the 7 games and stay at BYU.

Much more likely he already knows where and they just have to dot i’s and cross t’s. Though I hope it’s not the Cuse, even if he’s short on prep time the kid is a pretty good QB from what I saw last year.
